“Best food on the island so far! Swordfish cooked perfect. Scallops wrapped in Prosciutto ham had an amazing smokey flavor. Unique drink options not seen in other restaurants. The atmosphere was quaintand and intimate. I was concerned that the music would be overpowering, yet they have done a remarkable job in accoustics to allow low conversations to be conducted if you needed to. Music was exciting with a fantastic man on the keys and Savannah music Hall of Fame keyboardist Eric Jones. I don't know if he regularly plays here, so keep your eye out for future opportunities to hear him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”

I was truly blown away with the constant, but also very sincere check-ins from all staff members despite busy Sunday brunch hours. Was the food amazing? Of course. Were the drinks from the bar tasty? “Fun place! Stores, a cafe and the ice cream factory. Had to go because we heard so much about it and it didn't disappoint. Also, a good tip is that the ice cream factory is in the other side of the cafe. So drive to the far end of the parking lot to have a shorter walk”

“Had a fantastic meal at Red Fish 10.1.2023. The blue crab dip and crab bisque were phenomenal. For entrees, we had scallops and the shrimp / crab burger. Everything was prepared very well with the exception of the french fries (soggy). Marissa was our server and she was excellent. I would eat here again if visiting Hilton Head in the future.”

“If you don’t look for this joint, you’ll miss it. One of the best places for a foodie on HHI. I had the mushroom soup and a mackerel special. Came here for the schnitzel. Good God, you have to drop in. Heath and Linda are here. Present and accounted for sit at the bar and watch the masters work. William was my waiter and did a great job. Hummingbird cake to go!!!!”

“First time here but definitely won’t be our last. Grabbed an early dinner as they opened and was greeted by the hostess who opened the door for us and welcomed us in. Server was equally pleasant and the food was exceptional. I had a Rooster Old Fashion followed by Bisque de Poisson (Halibut served in a savory chowder with potatoes, roasted corn, and bacon finished with jalapeño slices, cilantro, cram and sherry), and my wife had the Braised Short Ribs with pan jus, served over mashed potatoes and southern braised succotash. I could tell my dish was going to be delicious when I caught a whiff of it as it was placed in front of me. I’m not a huge fan of short ribs, but one taste of my wife’s dish and I was an instant convert. Both plates were delicious and Lucky Rooster has won a coveted place on our HHI Favorite List. We will definitely be back before we head home again! Delicious!!”

“We went here during lunch as a party of 13. We were able to find some tables outside. The outdoor seating is covered so you're protected from sun and rain. The servers came right out and got us started with drinks. They were back shortly after to take food orders and the food came out quickly. Everything was delicious. If you're looking for some great New York style deli sandwiches in Hilton Head, this is the place.”
