“Amazing fresh oysters, straight from the bay to your plate. Raw or BBQ, Hog Island has amazing oysters both to go, or to enjoy at the cafe. The cafe has rustic picnic tables with a priceless view of the water. Service is friendly and fast but guests tend to linger with a bottle of champagne or two, so go early or off peak hours. If you walk up on a Saturday with nice weather, expect to wait up to an hour for a high table. But ultimately, it’s worth it!”

“I’ve tried the Hook Fish location in SF before and loved it, but this location took it to another level. Hook Fish is a sustainable and fairly local seafood restaurant that specializes in entrees like fish and chips and fish tacos/burritos. On this trip we went with the grilled fish of the day burrito and of course some fish and chips. Everything was delicious and amazing! The battered fish is the best I’ve ever had. The burrito tastes flavorful yet healthy at the same time. You also can’t resist pouring some of their unique hot sauce on each bite to add even more flavor. They had a pineapple juice drink that I tried which was also a nice touch without too much sugar. Parking is a bit crazy as this location is super central to anyone driving around Muir Woods but once you find parking the inside is beautiful. There are so many outdoor tables and even a pristine modern looking bar inside. So glad I finally got to visit their other location in the Bay Area. You have to go!”

“Incredibly fresh oysters and very knowledgeable staff! It’s such a cute shop, and located right next to the water. I would recommend that you bring your own oyster knife and lemon (so you don’t have to buy them there)! I asked them to show me how to chuck on a hater and they were very willing to do so :) Kumamoto: The best. The oyster is slightly sweet and pairs well with its natural salty brine. Don’t use any additional sauce or lemon on this— it’s a waste of an oyster if you do. Honestly, if I came back, I would just eat these. Golden nugget: Pretty flavorless oyster, so it really tastes like the ocean (in the best way possible). Probably would not get again if I can here.”

“Real Neapolitan pizza in Pt. Reyes Station. Wood fired oven. Starter smuggled in from Naples years ago. The real (delicious) deal! Plus great organic salad, fresh local oysters, great beers. And an incredible bargain. The receipt pictured is for a pepperoni pizza big enough for two, a huge salad to share, a (bakers) half dozen oysters, two generous pints of IPA. Service is fantastic.”

“Was craving some good pizza and this spot came up on Resy so I reserved a table. Arrived around 11:30am and found a reservation wasn’t needed as there were plentiful available tables. A friendly waitress showed me to a booth and as I read over the menu, she brought me a glass of water. I ordered the house salad, a specialty mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. Even though I was brought the pizza without the pepperoni, when I brought this to the waitresses attention, she immediately apologized and ordered the right pizza. I tasted the mushroom only pizza and it was delicious but the version with pepperoni was even better! House salad and house wine were the perfect accompaniment. Was only slightly taken aback by the mild mannered husky allowed to roam around but he seemed to know his boundaries pretty well. Would definitely eat here again 😋”
