“As a local, this winery and restaurant should be on your list of places to visit. As it’s tucked away from the city, you’re welcomed with aesthetically pleasing architecture. The restaurant has a daily seasonal menu with minor changes daily and full menu rotation seasonally. We had the 3 course paired dinner, and I rate the menu 4/5. Wonderful starter options, but the mains lacked options as two options were fish. The desserts were absolutely incredible and overall I recommend the paired dinner and lunch dining option. I will however provide the recommendation of not ordering the cod. It lacked flavour and the batter it was fried in drew out too much moisture from the fish. What we ordered: Burrata salad, heirloom tomato salad Crusted cod, steak Double chocolate tart, peach cream puff.”

“This is our favourite place for Chinese in town. Yes, it’s food court style but you can also order takeout ahead of time. We find that the meat dishes have so much more flavour compared to other places we’ve eaten at in Kelowna (especially the sesame chicken). The service is always great and everyone working is very friendly. It’s reasonably priced for what you get too. Keep in mind that prices have gone up everywhere. It’s closed Sundays and not open as late as other places but well worth it!”

“Used to love shopping here. I stop here almost every day after work to buy items for dinner. Unfortunately with the obvious and ridiculous price gouging I am taking my business to superstore. 10 dollars for a mid sized tub of margarine. I dont think so. So instead of getting my 2 hundred or so a week I will give it to a store that isn't so obviously out of control. More people should do the same. On that note, great staff.”

“Ex Nihilo was one of our stops during our wine tour and we had a good experience. The venue is beautifully maintained and the wines were good. We were happy to try their reds as Lake Country is more known for whites. I am not sure if they were just short staffed or if it’s common practice but our wine guide was shared with another group that was there and it just didn’t flow. Will be back.”

“Wow ! What can I say. We hosted a wedding here and was able to rent the full taproom. They are incredible and we are so lucky to have been able to use their beautiful space. We had non stop compliments about the food, we were able to meet Becks( the chef) and she is so talented! It was so delicious and so plentiful! They were even able to customize the food for us! We ordered canapés and late night nachos as well which were a hit! Jade is the events coordinator there and she is AMAZING. I hope she never loses her spark in the craziness that is events planning. She’s so wonderful to work with. She has great energy, great communication, and puts 100% in everything she does! Thank you Jade ! And of course the drinks!!! You would think a brewery would have limited options but that is not the case ! A ton of beer selections , cocktails, wine and cider ! “The food here is easily 5 stars. Delicious breakfast and prepared correctly. Loses a star due to extremely slow service. They were maybe 40% full at the time and I think we saw our server three times - once to take the food order, check on us 15 minutes after we received our food, and deliver the bill/take payment. She was lovely but we would have ordered a few more drinks had someone checked on us more frequently. Regardless, this is not a deterrent, as the food is fantastic, the location is great, and the ambience is lively and welcoming.”
