“Decent food for what it is, but I was surprised when one of the staff told us they microwaved it. For this price, I would expect it to be fresh; it lessened the quality of the food. My wife and I ate everything (because it did have good …”

“The second Vietnamese place I've tried in the city. It was pretty good, although I think I might prefer the other place (Pho and Roll) a tad bit more. Nonetheless, I ordered the vermicelli bowl in the 'pork n roll' style (without lettuce) as well as the black tea mango boba/bubble tea with passion fruit pop boba. The vermicelli noodles were pretty good, and came in a good portion. The price is quite fair for the portion. The carrots were delicious. Very well marinated and the perfect balance of savoriness to sweetness. Crunchy and fresh. The sauce was also pretty good. I will say, it's on the sweet side. Personally, I like my sauces sweeter though, so it wasn't a problem. Decent amount of sauce too. What I wasn't that big of a fan of was, unfortunately, the meat. It was hard and kind of chewy, not tender. Also, the flavor was kind of strange, almost stale-tasting. It didn't take like the maple sugar-flavored meat I thought it was going to be. But, the meat portion was solid. Finally, I thought the boba was really good. I know some people come here just for the boba, and I can see why. It's not overly sweet and has a great flavor. I couldn't really taste the bitterness in the black tea, which is good. Tasted mainly just like mango. And the popping boba is amazing! Soft and easy to pop, great fruity flavor. All in all, a nice spot for Vietnamese sandwiches and bowls. Do not overlook the boba, as that's really good. Fresh and decent prices. Pork isn't the best.”

“While staying downtown for work, I sought an interesting lunch and found Arepittas on Google and when I saw they were a Venezuelan restaurant and the reviews were amazing, I walked here to give them a try. Service was excellent… friendly and helpful! Their menu is quite nice and varied, with empanadas and arepas, as well as many other delicious options. I opted for their Reina Pepiada arepa and a side of yuca, with sides of their avocado green sauce and spicy green sauce. Everything was excellent! The sauces were tasty and the arepa was excellent! Yuca we really good too. Definitely recommend stopping in… Really good eats here!!”

“Great little bakery in Pittsburgh. We went here based on other reviews and they did not disappoint. The blueberry almond danish and hazelnut croissant didn’t last long enough for photos, but they were absolutely delicious. We also bought their olive bread and it was also very good. The photo of the counter was taken on a drizzly Sunday morning approximately two hours after they opened. I highly recommend this bakery.”

Frank & Shirley's Restaurant

2209 Saw Mill Run Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, United States

“Had the hot turkey sandwich with fries. The turkey was real turkey which was good gravy wasn't bad. Also had the veal cutlet parmesan. My only issue is it said it was veal cutlet but it was ground veal and wasn't expecting it. Good thing my wife grew up on it she liked it. Dump fries were pretty good as well just needed some salt and pepper. Probably go back and try something else at some point”

Dish Osteria Bar

“Reservations are recommended but we lucked out and got seating after 8 on a Tuesday. Our waiter was incredible. Attentive and friendly and had impeccable timing. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was lovely. The food ranged from ok to delicious. They serve lovely bread with oil and vinegar The ricotta toast: bland until you add salt. Ricotta needs salt and seasoning in order to sing. The carpaccio: eating it with the Parm was required, otherwise the meat was bland The mushroom pasta: yum, though I prefer my papardelle a bit wider and the dish needed a bit more moisture beyond the (generous) amount of butter used on the mushrooms Prosciutto and peas: very tasty but a bit milky for my taste, but my friends loved it We opted to skip dessert and overall thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The space is lovely and the vibe is cozy neighborhood and a rad romantic.”

“This place seems to be authentic for me. Small Korean restaurant with few extra seats on the second floor. Waiting time around 15 mins because they are busy with other orders. The counter desk lady is quick and serious. I ordered the most expensive dish in the menu - galbi bento (Korean short ribs). Decent size portion, enough for a man to get full, meat was fresh with balanced marinade but chewy for me. So, I was not able to eat every piece of meat in whole. Nice place to explore. Would order unagi bowl next time.”
