“Really cool, old school Italian vibe in here. Very friendly and welcoming staff and the food was absolutely delicious. The Roseland special pie is without a doubt the one to get with their homemade sausage. Portnoy gave this place an 8.6… I’d probably rank it 8.1. Wasn’t my absolute favorite but still an amazingly good pie.”

“Really disappointed in this purchase. We ventured out of our area for a nice change. We chose them based on the great reviews but we definitely can’t say the same. The chicken cutlets are frozen patties, the “Deluxe” combo was anything but deluxe, maybe 5 pieces of meat and no pickles as ordered. I’d hate to see what the regular combo looks like. The best part of our order was the store bought coleslaw and tortellini salad, $4.99 each for 6oz of product in an 8oz container. One reviewer said it’s the best deli in New Haven county.....that’s not saying much for new Haven deli’s. Do yourselves a favor and go up to Carbone’s so you see what an actual deli is. Next time we’ll just stick to Goldie’s right down the street and save the $75. Sorry guys.”

“The lights were a little too bright and in the injera portion was slim but the quality of food was off the charts. Great value for the price. We enjoyed it. The most important thing to know is to try the vegetarian combo meal for two(which is not on the menu). That way you can get a variety of specialty items. Most people who appreciate ethnic food will be happy to try”

“The pizza was great! Light and crispy- the meatball was definitely the way to go! Our server was so sweet and helpful as it was our first time trying it out! They only serve beer and wine which for us was enough. They do go heavy on the cheese-where we like more sauce. What a great experience!”

“Received a plain cheese with 2 different color cheeses, no sauce, cold, dried out and disgusting. Called thinking we got the wrong pizza and was basically told oh well ask for more sauce next time. Been ordering from Zois since basically the early 90s and the take out has been hit or miss the last couple of years, with more of the latter. Time to find a new place.”
