My family and I came here the second to last night of our vacation and ended up coming back on our last night as well because we loved it so much. If you are looking for pad Thai and green curry then this isn’t the place for you. But if you’re willing to expand your horizons a bit and let Opal order for you, you will not be disappointed! I honestly don’t know exactly what I ate, all I know is that it was delicious and I wanted more! Everything tasted familiar but different at the same time. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant!”

“Delicious local, organic, plant-based place for all. Really high-quality food. Our favorite was the Pizza al Taglio. That was a really unique, filling, tasty dish that would be my first choice to eat here again. The jacked up Doria was good and interesting. The ube pancake was really tasty. The mauna kea lava pasta had a nice bake on top, though was not super filling. The drinks and salad were nice. The best part was probably the tomato bisque with the buttered garlic bread on the side. I didn't know we could order the soup separately, but looking on the online menu, you can! We had a mixed bag with service. We came our first day in Kona and the gentleman working there was fantastic. The second day, I don't know if there were too many customers or something else happening. The older blonde lady working there told us to come up to her to order, so we had no table service and we had to tip before eating. Then, despite obviously sharing a meal, she only gave us one utensil for the soup. When my partner started getting frustrated at waiting so long, she checked with the kitchen and saw our order was missed due to there being multiple similar orders. She was disciplining the chef (who seemed new) pretty audibly and explained the situation to us but did not really apologize. She sent a younger blonde server who we had not met yet to apologize to us and offer a free drink or ice cream. The server also saw we were sharing and offered us an extra utensil for the meal. On our third visit, the same younger blonde lady was there and seemed to be working with even fewer staff during a pre-Thanksgiving rush yet gave us fantastic service on a pick-up order. She saved the day for the restaurant and is why I am writing this positive review. We're really happy to see a high-quality vegan restaurant right in the heart of Kona. We hope to see improvements in the service. And if you have made it this far, definitely try Journey's attached ice cream place. It's one of a kind.”

“This place is a local favorite, owned by the same company that operates Liliha Bakery next door, and while it is more upscale, you’ll get the same family vibe as Liliha. When we went just after Christmas, there were several families having holiday, gatherings, and the space is conducive to those large groups. This was our first time, and when we entered, we were asked by the hostess whether we had reserved for happy hour or regular dinner. Apparently happy hour is so popular they dedicate a room and a section of the dining area. Not sure what they offer, will have to go back to find out! We came specifically to try the tomahawk steak, which was large enough to share between two people. I preferred the heartier flavor of the ribeye, however, and that dish was also large enough to share between two people. As seems to be the case at most steakhouses, sides are offered separately. Here, they are served family style so you can get by with ordering one dish among 2 to 3 people. Service was efficient, fast, and friendly !”

“Pics of food looked amazing online so we had to try it. We must have ordered the wrong things because our food was dry and lacked flavor and appeal. Our order, 2 pineapple fried rice with chicken, Pad se ew with chicken, cucumber salad (great portion/tasted decent), and fish cakes (good). Cashier let us stand there (even after letting them know we were there and checking on our order) long after our food was ready. I approached him again to ask about the difference between the two styles of cucumber salad; that's when he informed me our order was ready. It had been sitting on the counter the entire time my husband and I were standing there. Smh.”

Portions are generous and they have some menu options that I didn't know existed based on my previous visits to this franchise. I had the fried oyster curry which isn't an obvious curry dish, if you ask me, but it works!!! Flavorful and not overly spicy makes this an ideal place for a quick bite.”

“This restaurant is small but mighty. They have a great selection of your standard Thai fare along with some special and unique items. It’s in a busy downtown area not far from Waikiki beach and a big shopping district. The staff were very attentive and polite, the food came out very quick, and all of it was high quality. The selection of different sauces on the table were all high quality and made in house. Appetizers: The roti with peanut sauce was such a surprising and wonderful item. Perfectly fried but not too rich and perfectly paired with the peanut sauce for dipping. The deep fried dumplings were well formed and had a lovely filling of chicken and pork with a soy ginger sauce. Entrees: One of the best khao soi I’ve ever had. The rich and flavorful curry complimented the perfectly cooked noodles. It was comforting and perfect and I hope to get it again someday. This was my first time trying khao moo daeng and I loved it. It’s a great balance of sweet, salty, and sour. The penang curry was exceptional balancing the creamy curry with just the right amount of heat.”

“Super fresh fish with excellent preparation. This place has a lot of potential. That said, we tried to eat here twice in one week. The first time they were sold out and closing almost 2 hours early. The second time they were very nearly sold out at 3pm and not even half of us were able to order fish. The beef stew was decent but very fatty. We enjoyed the Hawaiian platter for two. Very good. But we really wanted fish. The soda machine was out of order, as was the tea. They offered only water, canned Pepsi and diet Pepsi. This could easily be a 5 star visit, especially with as friendly and helpful as the staff was. The fish we did get was delicious. If you go, get there early in the day to maximize your experience.”

“The rating is for the pizza that was received. 3 out of the 4 pizzas that I ordered had very little cheese on them. The other pizza, I ordered extra cheese so that was loaded. The service was great. We did contactless so they brought the pizza to our vehicle. The person who brought the pizza was very cordial and greeted us upon delivering the pizza and then when we were leaving. So service was great and pizza could have been better.”
