659-661 Lor 35 Geylang, Singapore 389589

“Stall looks old-school. When duck is served, it looks so messy in a chunk with thick sauce & 豆芽 Can’t even see if our mixed dishes are underneath.. u know literally camouflage ? Especially ang mo will definitely be turn off by its presentation. Hollywood duck rice at Sims market is more neater. Price wise abit steep coz per pax forked out beyond $10/- Taste wise not bad and rice is very fragrance.”

“Delicious! I am craving for the food again. They are tasty and taste authentic. I would come again. I like the service from staff, though they should check on us less. 😅 We had four people asking us about how everything was. The service was excellent because we were asked if we could take spicy food. When the food was served, it was individually to us; it felt like a special treat. Location is also worth mentioning. I could think of another option where I could get delicious Indian food, but having Punjab Grill at MBS is perfect because there is so much to do around.”

“We came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday and it was one of the best Chinese restaurant we have been to, the owner was very considerate and gave us a very nice free bao because of our special occasion. The owner maintains a very high standard of the menu design, he has constantly experimenting new items addition to the menu. This is a place that the chef appreciates the original taste of the food , all dishes were gently seasoned so that you can always taste the freshness of the meat. The owner also adjust the portion of the dishes based on the number of pax so we felt just right and not overly fed. Although I said earlier the seasoning was gentle, that is not equivalent to bland taste, in actual fact , this place has done one of the best sambal fish, the sauce is not too sour and you can still taste the fish itself. Last but not the least, they served very good dessert, they add ginseng to the peach gum, the black glutinous rice with ice cream is not diabetic sweet at all.. orh nee is very good, no taste of lard at all. it is a very pleasant dining experience , and not the usual cheap cheap place but very good value for money. i will definitely come back to try more of their fresh seafood option, the owner does a fantastic job”

7 Maxwell Rd, #02-129, Singapore 069111

“First tried this on 26 December 2023 and ordered medium sliced fish porridge (S$7) [photos 1 to 3] and absolutely loved this! Sliced fish was substantial, fresh and meaty. Soup was wholesome but flavorful and there was dried sole fish too. Was yearning for this and returned the next day 27 December 2023 for lunch where I ordered medium sliced fish bee hoon soup (S$7) [photos 5 & 6]. Interestingly, there wasn’t any dried sole fish. Overall I prefer the sliced fish porridge. Totally understand why there’s always a long queue - because this is indeed delicious, fresh and substantial portion and cheap!”

“First time trying here and probably my last 😅 pretty expensive price for the small portion and there is nothing special about it. I think I can get more delicious fish all noodles at any hawker centres. What is special here that fish fries snack. It’s quite addictive and crispy, which is good for sharing. But other than that, nothing special that makes it worth what I am paying for. Maybe their laksa is better? But ehhh”

Knock Knock Pets Cafe

101 Geylang Rd, Singapore 389211

“They were previously located at Geylang Road but more recently moved nearer to Little India. Did not visit their old hideout so can’t compare but love the new location, decor and cosy environment they have built for hoomans and their doggos. Service is amazing; all staff are super friendly, show plenty of affection to the dogs, and have great attention to detail. Booked a table through Kris and response was very prompt and efficient. The food for hoomans are really good - special call out for the aglio olio and tater tots! Dog food and treats were incredibly decent as well. It’s an overall safe, clean and fun space to be in, be it for dog lovers, owners or simply anyone who is looking for a good cafe to chill out!”

Blk 38A Margaret Dr, #01-27, Singapore 142038

“‼️LOTONG HAWKER STALL SINCE 1960s‼️✨ … ‼️ Check out nomninjas on instagram, facebook and lemon8💗 … Got their signature Lontong ($4) which is truly deliciously well-balanced💗 generous amount of soft rice cake 🍚 with mountain of tofu, vegetables topped with fried anchovies and homemade sample. What I like is the curry broth where the milky coconut cream tastes so fresh yet does not overpower the spice and sweetness ✨ … Add on Nasi Lemak which visually looks awesome 😊 Got all my favorite ingredients from fish fillet to sambal billis puff / samosa which is a must get ‼️ 👍 … overrall, if i think of Lontong this stall is not to be missed ✨”

347 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, #01-2142, Singapore 560347

“Finally came to try this popular western food stall situated in AMK. Though they are 5 to 6 pax in front of me, I got my food within 15mins as you can see they are very systematic in order taking and well staffed to churn out the food quickly. Lady taking order is very friendly and help to send my food to my table as she can see I have problem with my left hand. The chicken chop and 4 sides are good serving portion for $8. Coleslaw tastes the best for me and the other sides just normal but complement the old school taste well. Chicken chop very well marinated and I enjoyed the taste with the skin cooked to perfection. Very much the taste I have missed from the younger days and 100% satisfied and fulfilling. Will certainly be back to try their other offerings.”

Hill Street Fried Kway Teow
4.3
( 8 reviews )

335 Smith St, #02-32, Singapore 050335

“$5 for the best CKT of your life. Not many places come with all toppings anymore, but this place has it all. Clams, prawns, sausage, and crispy pork bits, with reasonable amounts too. The flavor and char were just incredible all the way to the end. They made me realize that small crispy pork bits is absolutely perfect. The flavor is already so strong, and some other places don't cut it fine enough so it totally overpowers a bite when you get it. This place gets it just right. It's the little things here that really make this awesome: the corner stall means more table space, less heat, a relaxed line that doesn't block anyone or feel cramped. They were nice and brought food out to people so they could sit down. Definitely get it with spicy peppers (La Jiao)”
