You could pick this place up and plunk it at the shoreline of Connecticut or Rhode Island near any Clam Shack from my childhood in the 60s and no one would bat an eyelash. I had a roast beef sub and a thick, sweet chocolate malt (made with real powdered malt, not the synthetic liquid stuff) and I was one happy camper. In fact, I was in San Diego for a week and managed to suck down several of their chocolate malts. Thank you for giving me a holiday experience I've craved for over 50 years now. I love you guys!!!”

“Amazing fresh oysters, straight from the bay to your plate. Raw or BBQ, Hog Island has amazing oysters both to go, or to enjoy at the cafe. The cafe has rustic picnic tables with a priceless view of the water. Service is friendly and fast but guests tend to linger with a bottle of champagne or two, so go early or off peak hours. If you walk up on a Saturday with nice weather, expect to wait up to an hour for a high table. But ultimately, it’s worth it!”

“My friend and I ordered the mixed family pack, which came with 6 drumsticks and 6 tenders, both of which were super juicy and flavorful. My only complaint was that the skin was a bit too crispy. The family pack also came with rice, pickled cabbage, and 2 sides. We got the curry creamed corn and potato salad and both were delicious. We also got a pitcher of the Asahi lychee cocktail. The first sip was good, but there was way too much lychee syrup in it. There were only 5 tables inside when I was there, so you’re probably going to have wait a bit. This place is super popular. We waited for about half an hour and there were a lot of people waiting for their takeout orders too.”

“The Restaurant at the Getty Center is a gem! I love coming here for lunch for fine dining. We have come here to celebrate an Anniversary or Birthday, or just to get a fine dining experience! Reservations were made easily online. We showed up 20 minutes early, but the staff said it was perfect timing and brought us in immediately. The menu changes very few months and I love the choices the chef makes each Season. The staff is VERY Attentive, kind, polite, and not intrusive. We each ordered an appetizer and a main course and shared a dessert! The LOVE LOVE LOVE their desserts. The chef always produces a work of edible art, so ask the staff! I truly felt like my birthday was a special one, thanks to THE RESTAURANT. I highly recommend going at lunch during the week. On weekends, the menu changes to a Brunch Menu. We prefer the weekday menu.”

I love coming here whenever the family visits Newport Beach. It’s a must stop! The frozen banana never disappoints. My go to is milk chocolate with everything topping! Parking on the island is a pain sometimes because there’s limited parking and the line for the banana gets long pretty often. We’ve come late at night and in the afternoon and the line was long at both times during the day. So just expect to wait a bit and hopefully you find parking quick! This is worth it and an absolute must visit if you’re in the area!”

“This has got to be the best snow cones I've ever had. I've driven by many times and didn't think much of it but decided to take my little ones one hot summer day and let me tell you... Plus, it seems that they use half and half instead of milk making their drinks extra creamy. Also great quality tea bases, brewed strong enough that you can actually taste them! The staff is friendly and quite informative of the ingredients and proud of the quality. They also have a lot of amazing dips for their empanadas as well. Very tasty and the flavor is out of this world.
