Jewel's Bakery & Cafe

Closed until 09:00 AM

4041 E Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018, United States

“I found out about Jewels in November 2022 when I was planning my trip to Arizona and I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2017 so finding out about Jewels Cafe was the second best day of my life. The best day of my life was eating at Jewels and feeling like a normal human being at a restaurant again with no restrictions. Being able to eat with no anxiety is the best feeling ever and I’m so thankful for Jewels Cafe for offering that with spectacular food! My dad (who can eat gluten) has said their burrito was the best burrito he has had. My husband and I made a trip to Arizona in May 2023 and chose to eat at Jewels 3 out 5 days we were in town. Overall, Jewels Cafe is worth the 6-7 hour drive from New Mexico! We are forever grateful customers.”

Angelina's Fry Bread
4.4
( 16 reviews )

5154 W Olive Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302, United States

“I’m on the fence here and I have to say a bit unsure how to rate Angelina’s. I’ve heard quite a bit about this location for a while and so my friend and I decided to stop by today for some dry bread and maybe some food items. I’ve had plenty of Navajo fry bread etc, but never fry bread from a Mexican restaurant. First impression pulling into the parking lot was a little dismal to be honest. The location site in a very old shopping center and nothing about it really stands out to let you know it’s there. The area is pretty meh as well. Once inside we were greeted right away with smiles and offered some menus to sit down so we didn’t have to stand and look at the menu above counter. The place is pretty small, but with outdoor seating also available it felt a bit larger for groups and such. The place was clean, but not your typical Mexican restaurant. They had a counter with candy for purchase and decor pretty basic. The menu is not large, but offers some good things. I knew I was ordering the plain fry bread that comes with powdered sugar, honey and cinnamon on the side so you can add as little or as much as you want. I also added a tostada since I’d already eaten quite a large breakfast earlier in the day. My friend ordered the fry bread open face supreme and a chew’s crisp as well as another plain fry bread. After ordering I was given chips and salsa. This is where they really lost some points for me personally. It was bowl of over fried chips (too thick) and salsa in bottles. There was no plate to eat off of or anything to pour the salsa on besides trying to pour it directly on to a chip and hope it doesn’t spill all over the table. While I liked the green salsa I wasn’t a fan of the cucumber one. The red was ok as well, but I prefer green. My other items came out soon after and looked great. The tostada especially. I ordered one with beans and topping only no meat this time. It was crispy, flavor pretty good and great amount of cheese and other toppings. After adding the green salsa it was great. My plain fry bread was flaky and easy to pull apart. The sugar shaker was quite generous so be careful if you like it light. Once I added honey and such I took my first very sticky bite. I was using my hands which I some with cringe at, but hey I prefer to eat them that way. If you don’t like to get messy fry with a fork and knife. The flavor was good, but I found that I definitely prefer more Navajo style fry bread options. My friend said she wasn’t very impressed with her food and probably wouldn’t come back. Her son ate a few pieces of his cheese crisp, but it was quite large. I’m on the fence honestly if I’d come again to try more. It was bad, but I’ve definitely had better and don’t think I’d come out of my way to stop again.”

Arizona Donuts
4.2
( 16 reviews )

1583 S Avenue B, Yuma, AZ 85364, United States

“Horrible costumers service i will not be going back ever. The older lady with very short hair that takes your order is rude when you take time to choose the donuts you want and if you ask to get mexican bread she gets annoyed and makes faces. If you ask if there are anymore donuts of a certain flavor she gives you attitude because she has to go to the back and get them. I understand you get busy but i am a paying customer and deserve the time to choose what i would like to get. Also when i add food to my order it sits in the window for a while before they give you the food and i can see her talking and laughing to the other young girl with red hair in the back. By the time i get my order its either soggy and not even warm. I don’t recommend this place at all. The food is pretty pricey and by the time you get it it’s not worth it.”

“Ordered 2 Taco Plates tonight for delivery. Arrived quicker than expected. The Carne Asada tacos were all on point especially with the fresh limes that came included. My only complaint is on the rice. The rice definitely was not fresh and it was kinda hard or undercooked in my opinion”

Lito's Fine Mexican Food
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 07:00 PM

4720 W Olive Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302, United States

“Glendale native of 43 years I grew up eating at all the local restaurants (even Josie's on 55th and Ocotillo for those who remember) throughout the Glendale area. Lito's is by far my all time favorite. Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the entire family here truly cares about making the absolute best tasting and freshest food around. You are always greeted with a smile and asked about your day while your food is being prepared to perfection. Red burritos have always been my "go to" at any restaurant, but this is honestly the first place that I've ever eaten at where I will order a green instead; Not to take away anything from the red burros, they're still in my all time top 3, but the green are seriously that good. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some incredible food served by a very polite and friendly local family.”

Foodie Club
3.9
( 16 reviews ) $$

400 AZ-64, Grand Canyon Village, AZ 86023, United States

“We had breakfast at the Foodie Club this morning and thought it was quite good. [I only give five stars when things are truly exceptional.] My wife and I each ordered the parfait which is fruit, yogurt, and granola. My only complaint is that there was very little granola; maybe half an inch on the top of the yoghurt mixture. Otherwise it was very nice. The atmosphere was perfect. It was lively, but casual and the sun streaming in the front windows made it very cheery I would recommend the Foodie Club for breakfast at least. I can’t comment on lunch or dinner.”

Aioli Gourmet Burgers - 7th And Bell
4.2
( 8 reviews ) $$

430 E Bell Rd #103, Phoenix, AZ 85022, United States

“Aoli Gourmet Burger in Phoenix is a culinary gem that every burger enthusiast should experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and it was an extraordinary burger adventure. The star of the show, the burgers, were nothing short of spectacular. I ordered their signature burger, and it was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with a rich, char-grilled taste. The bun is the only thing I didn't like was cold, and soggy. I ended up taking the top of and just fork and knifing the burger What sets Aoli apart is their unique selection of gourmet toppings and sauces. The crispy bacon, perfectly ripe avocado, and a mouthwatering truffle aioli elevated the burger to a whole new level. It was a true explosion of flavors in every bite. The menu offers a variety of burger options to suit every taste, including options for vegetarians and those looking for lighter fare. The sides were equally impressive; I opted for sweet potato fries, which were golden and crispy. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with a modern yet cozy interior. The service was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Aoli Gourmet Burger in Phoenix is more than just a burger joint; it's a culinary delight. Whether you're a burger connoisseur or just looking for a delicious meal, this place is a must-visit. The attention to detail, quality of ingredients, and the creativity behind each burger are what make Aoli truly gourmet. It's a dining experience I won't soon forget.”

Open until 10:00 PM

3051 E 36th St, Tucson, AZ 85713, United States

“Visiting in Tucson, people tell you to try Sonoran dog as it is a local speciality. Well I try Sonoran dogs at multiple different places and this was easily the best one. Very unassuming place that focuses on a limited menu on what they do well, Sonoran dogs. bun, meat and toppings were easily the best flavor out of everywhere I tried in the area. It's on the side of a convenience store so just parked in the area and prices are super reasonable. Look no further if you just want to have the best Sonoran dog in the area.”

“It’s a good seafood restaurant, with very good reasonably price. The service was good, the environment was relaxing, with nice music, cool movies playing on the TV, the atmosphere was very good that it made you feel like home. We had the combo 1 which was very good, a lot of food. I really enjoyed the shrimp 🦐! And the corn 🌽 was also very good! I like how they have everything on the wall where you can have immediately access, very convenient! Nice restaurant that you would like to come back again, with lots of food at a very nice good friendly price! 😊”
