“We wish we could give them 6 out of 5 stars! When we lived in northern CT LuAnn's was a local favorite spot for my now husband and I, but since moving to more central CT, we haven't been able to treat ourselves as regularly to their delicious bakery items and wide varieties of cafe style drinks in front of their cozy fireplace! So when we got married at the beginning of September this year, we already knew we wanted to hire LuAnn's as one of our vendors! Even though we had lots of rain on our wedding day, Luann's brightened our special day with their delicious gluten free cupcakes delivered in Cooper, their 1970s Volkswagen beetle parked outside our venue! Josh arrived early and the line to get a cupcake was buzzing with excitement, with each friend and family member excited about what cupcake to choose! We printed a sign displaying the flavors we had selected (3 chocolate and 5 vanilla based flavors from a 3 page list) so everyone knew their options but all choices were superb! The cupcakes were perfectly displayed against the vibrant green color of the vintage car with the trunk popped open, with Josh engaging with our guests the entire time! While we know a cake cutting is a traditional staple for weddings, we wanted something different and we could not recommend LuAnn's more! Please, if you are near the Ellington area and looking for quality made food and drinks, stop in to Luann's! AND if you are looking for an incredible addition to your already beautifully planned wedding, definitely consider hiring LuAnn's for their fabulous cupcakes!”

“We had a great experience at the vineyard. The tasting menu was great and we got to select from a range of wine. I must say I was impressed by their overall collection. Place is clean with ample space to sit indoors and outdoors. You can also bring in your mats and picnic basket and sit near to the vineyard. I am giving 4 stars for a) the food options are very little. Food truck was average. Also, we were expecting good cheese platter atleast. b) if you sit outside there’s no umbrella shade or covers. I feel the tables should have that option. The hosts were very good and welcoming. Definitely recommend visiting once.”

Depending on the season, they have coffee & cars on Sunday mornings, live music/bands, trivia nights, October Fest, etc. So check out their events page. There's lots of free parking. This is a great venue for date night, small or big groups, happy hours, or just a place to hang out and relax. Besides their great beer you can buy coffee, food, pastries.”

“Small space but it's cozy and great for conversation with loved ones. Beautiful decorations, friendly staff. However, I've lived in CT, RI, and MA and out of all three states (and the many breweries I've tried while residing in each), this brewery has the best stout I've had in over a decade (their other beers are also great but I'm a stout person). I'm very disappointed Man O' War allegedly won't be staying on the menu, but if this is the caliber this brewery can create I'll happily try anything they come up with!”

Inside looks comfortable but enjoyed the nice lighting and outdoor seating. Super cool and relaxing joint hidden in the back of a commercial area. Almost thought we were in the wrong place, but found it nestled in the back and a long a cute wooded area.”

“This is not a 4.6 star place. There’s always a problem here. Sometimes it’s a small problem, like something was missing from my order and sometimes it’s a huge problem, like completely forgetting my order and never apologizing for making we wait another 30 minutes. Last time I ordered I received someone else’s order entirely. I get the the “reviews” are “good.” Mine isn’t. Go elsewhere.”
