“First time, trying out Taco Maya. I didn’t realize it’s a chain with many locations in Illinois. I would give this location a 4.5. Place was clean. Plenty of tables to sit and eat. Sauce bar. Service was good, it did not take them long to get your food to you if you are dining in. Prices range from cheap to slightly expensive for a taco. I like to try the speciality ones, so if the price matches the quality then I’m okay with that. They give you free chips and salsa while waiting. Chips are very good, not overly salty. I ordered the signature taco, dorado taco, chicken tinga taco, elotes, rice, and horchata. Signature 5/5 - very flavorful. Everything pairs well. Dorado 5/5 - fish was moist and i love that Chipotle Mayo that goes with it. Chicken tinga 5/5 - generous amount of meat and it wasn’t dry. Rice 1/5 - i love Mexican rice but i would prefer it to be without the peas. Peas kind of ruined the taste for me. Elotes 5/5 - it has a little kick to it. Horchata 5/5 - one of the best ones I’ve had here. Good amount of cinnamon. Taco salad 5/5 was big and you get a large amount for the price.”

I've been to the Southport corridor location numerous times because the Music Box theater is conveniently close but today I came here after enjoying bunny therapy at a nearby bunny rabbit boutique. My server was extra cheerful and nice and happily for me he he kind of messed up my order by preparing two spinach and cheese Empanadas instead of one spinach and one mac n cheese 🧀 so he brought me both spinach and cheese Empanadas and cooked me my mac n cheese so I ended up getting 3 Empanadas for the price of two. I also picked a Nutella and banana 🍌 Empanada for dessert but honestly my preference are the savory Empanadas and there's so many to choose from you won't have any issues finding a flavor you love. Great service and yummy, unique flavors. This is a great place to get your Empanadas fix.”

“I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and it was busy, but not too packed. I ordered the pozole flight (verde, rojo y blanco) and was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the verde pozole. I gave the others to friends because the portion was huge. Only complaint is that they don't really give you enough toppings (onion, avocado, cabbage and radish) to last you through 1 bowl let alone all 3 if you are going to eat them all there. They charge more for extra toppings which is understandable, but I think more toppings should be served initially. I'd definitely rec ordering a side of sour cream to eat on the tostada that will then be dipped into the pozole. Horchata was a 10/10 and so was the house salsa-- it is spicy so beware. Def will come back!”

Had a Groupon for a tour and a tasting since they only offer 1 tour on Saturdays,we opted to skip the tour and go around 5pm just for the tastings since their live music started at 6pm. They also bring in a food truck on weekends in the afternoon. Rachel did our tasting. We started with vodka,then gin,whiskey,bourbon and flavored vodkas. All were quite good and she explained how each one was processed. It was just enough for us to purchase a few bottles to bring home. If you join their Spirits Club you can get in store discounts. We loved the bourbon,coffee vodka and barrel aged gin. We started with an old fashion and an old fashion ayer made with barrel aged gin and plum bitters. Cocktails cost about 10.00 each and are generous pours. We also tried a banana old fashion which was a little heavy on the maple syrup in my opinion. If you are looking for an easy drive in the country and fantastic drinks and good people,this is the place to go. We will definitely go back!”

“Good solid Indian food in a very nice atmosphere and wonderfully well-crafted cocktails. I had some traditionals saag paneer,butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan. All very solidly done. My only issue was that everything was spiced really well but not spicy I expected more heat. That may be my problem and I should have asked of small part of me felt that everything was kind of bland. The Crafted cocktails more than made up for the food so I will be back to try some more cocktails and some other dishes and will ask for them to be more spicy 🔥 🥵 and I will see how that goes.”
