“We have been here twice. First time 5 years ago and now on our passing trip to Bali. The food and service have always been excellent. We especially like oysters and here they are impeccable. This time, I had a slightly different opinion about how the classic steak tartare should be seasoned. Apparently Singaporean tartar is seasoned more to suit Asian tastes. However, the staff took great care of my little pickiness. I can warmly recommend this restaurant to everyone who appreciates particularly good food.”

“This is a small restaurant with beautiful views. The food is fantastic with the crab dish and blue lobster dish on its own are worth the trip (best lobster we have ever had). Some mild negative points are that the wine pairing was average and second desserts were nothing special. Though they do give some financiers to take home which are amazing. Overall though - 5 stars as the food is exceptional and service is is warm.”

“Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, wonderful food. We went as a big party of 10 (including 2 kids) and tried several dishes, but a few stood out: 1) Fine de Claire oysters - they don’t get any fresher than this. Freshly-shucked, with plenty of natural brine and bright flavours. 2) Onion soup and lobster bisque were both great. I haven’t had lobster bisque with such deep flavours for the longest time. 3) Bouillabaisse - heavenly with the bread. The prawn was grilled prior to adding in, which was a nice touch. They have a formidable wine list as well. Service was attentive, and the place filled up quickly in the evening. Would recommend making a reservation!”

“A Belgian in a French Brasserie… what could possibly go wrong. Nothing actually. Superb business lunch. Relaxing atmosphere, warm traditional interior, capable and attentive staff, and the food - oh man - the food!! Tried the morel mushroom soup and the evergreen Angus Beef tartare. Sublime! Just the way I’d expect it in the best restaurant in Paris, or Brussels. And even the fries are “Belgian Approved”. Thanks guys”

“The steak was cooked to perfection as to how I want it. Their signature sauce is very flavourful and goes well with the steak and truffle fries. However, the free salad had little to no dressing. Just tasted like washed vegetables. The outdoor seating had a little fishy smell as is located beside the river. View was amazing! Got to see the whole of Marina Bay Sands from afar. The service was pretty bad as they forgotten about my table twice. Had to ask for water 3 times before it finally came. Before we were seated, 2 different waiters came to ask for our no. of pax and just disappeared, leaving us waiting. Overall, would recommend if you’re looking for a delicious steak at an affordable price near MBS.”

“Went on a weekday afternoon. The set lunch was pretty worth it, but they were clearly overwhelmed by the crowd. The staff were polite but the food took a long time to come. Starters and tiramisu were excellent, but the steak was not as flavourful as expected. Fries were crisp and the steak sauce was amazing as well”
