If you want to try the burger definitely do it during brunch over the weekend so you’ll be guaranteed to get a burger (since they only serve 12 each night during the weekdays). “There is street side parking but good luck getting it. I was never much of a mussels guy, I thought the pinnacle of mussels is butter garlic. I was wrong. This place has introduced me to new flavor combinations which were amazing. I had the scampi, it was great. My wife ordered Thai. The Thai was a new mix of old flavors. The Curry goes very well with the bread. I would absolutely come back again dragging my unbeliever friends. The oysters there are fresh, and I just wish they had ginger salt with wasabi for the oysters. It would absolutely complete my night.”

“This is a nice restaurant to come to for date night, fancy dinners, celebrations, etc. We recommend reservations as it is a small restaurant space wise. It was packed when we got there. You have to expect to be seated close to other tables due to the spacing issue. I didn't order absinthe but my friends did and they really liked it. I ordered a Chardonnay and I was very happy with that. For the food, we went with the French onion soup, the Potted Chicken and Foie mousse for the table, the Chicken cutlet, and the Duck confit. The French Onion soup was delicious and a LOT! It was the perfect blend of onion, tart, salt, cheese and the goodness of a good onion soup. The potted chicken and foie mousse was very interesting and the baguette with it was delicious! I didn't end up finishing the chicken cutlet because of how heavy the soup was but I liked what I had - flat, fried and had a delicious remoulade on the side. My brother enjoyed his duck confit but felt it was a little small. He also finished my chicken cutlet. We didn't end up getting dessert but the cheesecake looked interesting. It is a pricey place so I recommend it for special occasions only. There is a parking lot about 2 blocks away. They do not validate parking.”

“I am traveling in Long Island for the weekend and stopped into La Plage for dinner on the recommendation of some local folks who love it. It did not disappoint. I was treated wonderfully throughout my time there (starting with the phone call to see if they could accommodate me without a reservation on a Saturday night!). I sat at the bar and was able to talk to two employees about the food. I ordered what they said they loved (the sweet corn chowder with crabmeat, the seared Banzino with Clams for dinner, and a Blueberry Crumble w/ homemade ice cream for dessert) and the meal was fantastic. I felt like a regular after 5 minutes and even got a tip on where to watch the sunrise this morning-Smith Point County Park on the other side of the Island! If you are near Wading River, don't sleep on La Plage. Thanks for the hospitality, the great food, and for making me feel at home after a long day of traveling.”
