“We booked our table after a friend's recommendation. The restaurant is next to the market at Places des Carmes. It has a a cool urban vibe. The tables were filled with a very diverse clientele. The food is really good, but sometimes a bit too sweet. Some more sour and bitter in the dishes would be nice. Very curious to visit again and taste how the kitchen evolves! Kudos to the team!”

“Underway from Spain to Belgium on the A9 and my son decided he was into a steak. I did some googeling and found a restaurant “ chez franck”.. Reservation by phone started with someone who asked for my name, and then used it as if i was a regular. You feel welcome. When arriving ( early) at the restaurant we didn’t knew what expect. The menu is on the plaid on the table. First thing you notice are the prices. Getting worried because really attractive ( not to say cheap) pricing. Would this be any good? We order entrecôte , salads and fries etc. First of all, small warning, the fries are not what the Dutch and Belgians are used ( so the mega crispy variation) . This is hand made. But the most important, the meat… Sorry for the wording.. WTH..?!? Perfect meat, perfectly prepared, perfect taste ( and yes without arrogance we know our meats). The owner appears to be a famous rugby player. I don’t like restaurants that are from “ famous people” that are never there and ripp you off. Well the guy is here, and he is friendly, works together with his very friendly team , and is running a great restaurant. The Micheling guide gave in Thailand to a few non standard restaurants a michelin star. And really, I regret we had no more time.. But this restaurant is worth a detour and is now on my favorite list!! Please go there!”

“4 stars for the ambience and the service but not for the food. We did the 3 course menu and the fish was overcooked. The entree was terrine with raw seafood and average at best. Definitely not sure how they got rated a 4.6 on google. The kids menu was served with pasta where they didn't properly drain the water. My kids barely touched the food sadly. For the dessert, they put fromage blanc on the menu but instead gave us faisselle for the kids. It is absolutely not the same and the waiter should have mentioned that they didn't have fromage blanc so that we could've opted for ice cream instead.”

They have a lovely variety of menu, including for vegetarians.. I tried their greek salad and vegetarian pizza and they were both good ! My friends took 3 different variety of non vegetarian dishes and they were all very happy with it! 😀 Very pleasant staff, neatly maintained and a feel good experience ! ♥️ Totally recommend it to visitors going to Albi !”

Staff is very professional, friendly, and detailed in explanation of the menu and dishes. The octopus is perfectly tender with perfect seasoning. Although we dined indoors their outdoor terrace seating is absolutely magnificent in a cloistered setting. Will be back to savor more!”

“Lovely little place to eat just a few footsteps away from the center square of Pézenas. During lunchtime they offer a deal (plateau) at 19€ that includes a starter, main, cheese and desert where the only twist is that you get everything served at the same time on a platter. This however is not a bother as everything served is of excellent quality. When visiting there was a choice of 4 platters, one meat based, one fish and one vegetarian with also a 'special of the day' platter for a few euros more. I would highly recommend a visit chez Paul as service, food and location are excellent.”

“Go here for vegetarian fois gras!! Fantastic place for a vegetarian to enjoy great variety of innovative dishes. We tried the foie gras which even my non vegetarian friends approved of. The menu changes daily. They also have a selection of cocktails. The Onigiri was exceptional! The burger was average. The gentleman who attended to us was very kind and patiently explained everything in English. I recommend reserving a table.”

The amount of detail and work that goes to every plate is amazing. We had the menu plaisir and every dish was delicious. The slice rack of veal was the tender, yet flavorful accompanied with a delicious jus and the freshest of asparagus. Unbelievable selection of cheeses and delicious desserts. The chef stopped by at the end to say hello and make sure everything went well. An experience to cherish and remember.”
