Coquette

Closed until 05:30 PM

2800 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115, United States

“Coquette has been our favorite restaurant in New Orleans for years. Their menu is fresh and innovative. I come here at least once a year and their menu has been different each time. A couple of the dishes that we recently tried and enjoyed are the Oyster Stew and the Sea Scallop with uni and satsuma butter. Their wine and cocktail selection is fun and original. I highly recommend their tasting menu and their wine pairing. It's always a treat to dine at Coquette!”

723 Dante St, New Orleans, LA 70118, United States

“This is maybe the best restaurant in New Orleans. It has not quite 10 tables. Chef Brigtsen comes around to greet diners. The food is awesome. I had the seafood platter...not at all what you think it is. There was a filet of redfish topped with shrimp. There was an oyster with spinach. There were 2 scallops prepared differently. There was shrimp cornbread. Oy! My companion had sheepshead that she said was delicious. For dessert we had king cake bread pudding. Oy again!”

Adolfo's

Closed until 05:30 PM

611 Frenchmen St, New Orleans, LA 70117, United States

“It's been years since I dined here. My first time here was on a date in 2000. The food was phenomenal. Paired with the eclectic vibe and feeling like we stepped into a Spaniards living room, local art adorned the walls with low lighting and bustling chatter. There wasn't another table empty. I would return here on every one of my frequent trips and become friends with Adolfo himself. He was a great conversationalist and had amazing world views. I found out a few days ago that he is no longer with us. Although I was starving when I walked in, my sadness with this news affected my appetite. I got the same thing I had when I first came here. The seafood sauce over sole with salad. Skipped drink. Great service and lively vibe. This place is a hidden gem. You can feel comfortable and relax with your meal. Great location on Frenchmen also.”

Clesi's Seafood Restaurant & Catering
4.4
( 8 reviews )

4323 Bienville St, New Orleans, LA 70119, United States

“We started with the boudin bites and the Jucifier IPA, both were amazing, and for the entrée we had the boiled shrimp, crabs, sausage, corn, and potatoes. The boiled seafood was traditional Louisiana style and very tasty. Spice level was 👌 We were a bit confused as to why none of the crabs had their claws, as they are the best part of the crab. The shrimp were huge and did not disappoint. Overall, everything was well made. Loved the atmosphere of the place. I wouldn't suggest sitting outside when the mosquitoes are in season - which in my experience is year round. Nasty little boogers.”

“What an amazing dining experience. Amazing setting. The food was out of this world. Server was well trained and looked after our needs. After searching for great mussels, we have finally found our go to place. Price was very reasonable too. We will be recommending this place to everyone. Thank you for making my birthday perfect.”

Criollo Restaurant

214 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70130, United States

“We came for Le Petit Chef experience the weekend after Thanksgiving. The servers and manager were great and accommodating! They made sure my 4 year old had a great meal and accommodated my family with shell fish allergies. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend this experience”

Jewel Of The South

Closed until 05:00 PM

1026 St Louis St, New Orleans, LA 70112, United States

“We arrived without a reservation and were seated at the bar. It was a little cramped so reservations should be made. It was so worth it. The Short Rib, Stilton whimsy and creamed leeks were outstanding. The portions were on the small side but so delicious. The shared Eccles cake with Stilton cheese was also delicious.”

Effervescence
4.6
( 8 reviews )

1036 N Rampart St, New Orleans, LA 70116, United States

“A friendly and welcoming place, whether you want a cocktail, wine or a full meal. Spacious with beautiful decor. Effervescence is a classy place to meet friends or to gather for Sunday Brunch. Their Caviar and Bagel brunch is spectacular and enough to split with a friend. The service is quick, cheerful and very good. They also have a great wine list as well as a full cocktail bar. Effervescence offers a different concept than many other establishments in the French Quarter, in a very good way. I would highly recommend stopping in for a beverage or more when in the French Quarter.”

Charley G's

3809 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy #120c, Lafayette, LA 70503, United States

“My husband and I went to Charley G's for the first time for date night. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The staff was so pleasant and informative, very professional. Charley G's is an extremely elegant and romantic restaurant. The only thing I had a personal challenge with was the menu. It is very elevated; I am not used to such an upscale menu. Every dish was unique and there were many things I had never heard of, like Drum fish, escargot, etc. The best thing we ate was the crabcake appetizer. It was amazing! I also enjoyed the macheaux and crawfish grits. My advice is to look at the menu online before going to get a better idea of whether or not it is for you. Personally, I'm glad that I went and will return again.”

1728 Soniat St, New Orleans, LA 70115, United States

“You would not know this is a restaurant. No sign at all. Uber driver wasn't sure and we circled the block a few times. It's basically dining on first floor of a house in a neighborhood. Try the chicken in juice. Sounds simple but it was one of the best bites I had in NOLA”

“Fabulous find for Sunday brunch! Mimosa bottle service and variety of specialty drinks. Not a large menu, but everything is very unique and tasty. I especially recommend the bread pudding French toast sticks. That dish is worth a visit all by itself.”

The Black Cat
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$

715 St Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70130, United States

“If you have one restaurant to try in New Orleans, this is the place. It may not be contemporary Cajun or Creole cuisine, but it's damn good. The ideas are simple and dishes are straightforward with some interesting twists. Nothing was a random cacophony of flavors and colors. The carrots were definitely the star of the night, the chicken has perfectly crispy skin while being juicy and tender, oh, and the coffee... spectacular! Seriously, take your lady or man here, they'll absolutely have a great time.”

La Crepe Nanou

1410 Robert St, New Orleans, LA 70115, United States

“Wow. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant looks small from the outside but can sit quite a lot. Reservations are needed. Casual dress. Got there at 5:15pm and by 6p it was packed Adequate parking at businesses across the street that are close in evening. Entrance is on corner of building and not the 2 large doors that I tried to use. We had the salmon and shrimp dishes and saved the crepes for dessert. Food was excellent. Server was pleasant and seemed to enjoy her job…very attentive. Loved the colors and different decor areas you could sit. Definitely recommend. Also had French onion soup, escargots, salad and a few drinks…around $70 per person.”
