Petit Louis Bistro

“While the service and atmosphere were great, the food itself was alright. The quiche and sandwiches were too greasy, and I was slightly disappointed. Outdoor seating is also available, and the location is dog friendly. The staff were amazing, extremely friendly and nice.”

“Terrific place for an anniversary (or other special occasion) dinner! The restaurant is inside a charming old manor house. We sat in the end room with tons of windows to view outside while dining. Service was perfect. All staff that we interacted with were very friendly and did a great job anticipating our needs. The food was excellent. We started with a bread basket that was crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft in the middle, just as a good loaf should be. Baked brie in a puff pastry was a chef's special and I highly recommend it if offered again. The crabcake entree was superb with plenty of meat and not too much filler. 10/10 would get again! We had tiramisu for dessert, which usually isn't my favorite because I'm not a coffee fan, but theirs was delicious and not overpowering with the coffee notes. Overall this was a terrific fine dining experience and I would recommend it to others!”

“Stopped in for a cocktail and an appetizer. Wonderful baked oysters and oysters on the half shell. Great whiskey selection and the blue cheese stuffed olives in my martini were spot on. Service was terrific.”

“I feel a bit bad saying this as I know they're popular and the service was good, but I found it to be pretty crazily overpriced for what we had- the flavors were pretty muted (my main dish was downright bland), portion sizes were pretty small (fine if the food is amazing- it is not), cocktails were ok (you can find better in several places nearby), and the downstairs was FREEZING. Also there's 0 hooks in the bathroom, always annoying as a lady with a purse, so I had to rest my bag on a trash can... Lovely. The service was great, and the vibe is very Baltimore arty chic, but $80 pp for the above is not it.”

50 Carroll Creek Way #110, Frederick, MD 21701, United States

“We went last Saturday night (right as the fire department was finishing up the fire on South Carroll). We were able to get a two top at the back of the restaurant. The seats were near a dark hallway which felt a little unsettling but I do respect that the owner is being economical. Our waitress got us our drinks quickly. Our go to is the fried pickles. They are the best in town, hands down. I had the steak salad special and my wife had the shrimp and grits. I didn’t have the tomatoes on my salad and think it was needed(that’s on me, not the chef). The steak was cooked well and lightly seasoned. The waffle fries were crispy! My wife had the shrimp and grits and they were amazing. She usually eats half her portion and saves the second half for another meal, not tonight! Our server disappeared for a portion of our meal and I had to go to the bar to get a refill of my soda water( our waitress was also working the bar). I did feel there was a lack of communication by the staff because there other servers never checked in on us. That’s a little disappointing is such a small restaurant. That leads to my final frustration. They sat a four top with a booster seat and essentially blocked me in. I literally had to ask the other people to move their chairs so I could get out. So I hope my critiques are viewed as constructive. We will definitely go back because the food is always, ALWAYS, good. They are also super supportive of the LGBTQ community which is a reason to keep supporting them!”

“Visited in the summer and had an amazing experience. The food was amazing. Ordered wings, french toast, pasta and seafood hashh. Drinks were strong and brought out my inner child (adult cool aid). The restaurant was a truly a vibe, great music and decor. Highly recommend.”
