“The meal and the lovely attention to balancing flavors and presentation will live on in my memory. We had brioche and baby lettuces as a start and were immediately delighted. Two of us had the scallops and were overjoyed. Two of us had gnocchi and were enraptured. All of us ate off of each others’ plates. We were too full for dessert but had it anyway - don’t sleep on the miso black cherry ice cream or the bread pudding. Between us, we four ordered most cocktails offered and they were all lovely and somehow both simple and fancy. And after all this one more incredible praise: the meal will live on in my memory and part of what lodges it there was the incredible, detailed, kind service. Six out of five stars for service! We loved, loved, loved celebrating our special occasion there and may need to make our way back even though we don’t live in in Portland.”
