“Such a great place in the heart of the old walled town! Absolutely delicious food. Really cool mix of French style dishes and some fusion elements like leek sushi or deep fried pork belly and soy glaze. Lots of places in France (like the others on the same street) serve traditional food which is great, but so so nice to have something a bit different too. Also went there for some cider whilst exploring the basilica and chateau on another day. Would very much recommend!”

Local produce, beautifully prepared and presented. This is high quality cooking at a more than reasonable price. If it was local to me, I'd be there every week.”

“It was one of the best, if not the best, restaurants i have ever been to. It is like a chameleon – from the outside hard to spot, but on the inside very climatic. The menu prices are appropriate as for such french restaurant. Also, I fully recomand ordering from menu and not menu à la carte. Every meal had it's own appetiser. Everything was so delicious, that I can't even describe them. I everybody recomand tasting them by themselves. The meals can be changed, according to diets, for exemple for wegetarians.”

“A gem for as far as restaurants in the area go. The lunch menu was superb, offering something for all tastes. The service was perfect, giving professional help in a friendly and welcoming manner. The view from the terrace was fantastic, overlooking farmland with the Dover Straits and white cliffs of Dover as background. Tip: book in advance! “So many good reviews so we thought we'd try this place in the lovely town of Bethune. Great, warm service and nice cold beers. The patè starter was tasty. The main dishes - not so good. The chicken, although tasty, was overcooked and dry and... I chose the 'welsh' as I don't eat veal and the other 3 main dishes contained some variation of this. 'Welsh' was not good - I'd expected a tasty and good quality French twist on this dish. On the contrary, it consisted of tonnes of melted cheddar cheese, resulting in an oil slick on top of the dish, one slice of tasteless ham, a few chunks of bread and some supermarket mustard. No cooking involved for €18 and inedible. My partner enjoyed the chips. Too much grease! Even the salad was dripping in oily dressing. Disappointed.”

The service was great as although my family struggle with French the waiter made sure that we could understand everything on the menu and about our order. I 100% recommend Le Comptoir for anyone visiting Arras”

“The quality of the steak is very average. We ordered Cote a los for two person as a medium. It came almost uncooked. It meant to be 1kg piece but there were a lot of fatty tendons which been left on the plate. If you really like steaks and you know how steak suppose to be cooked then please help yourself not to visit this place!”
