“Fun place to walk around and kill some time. Its almost overwhelming because of how its laid out and how much stuff they have. Lots of bird baths, plants, pots, but to me their prices are high as a kite. I do like looking at everything and enjoying the atmosphere of this place....but I get my ideas here then head to other nurseries where I can buy the same plants cheaper. Fun place though for a walk and to just zone out and relax.”

“Phenomenal customer service. Although the houseplants are super priced up. Can get the same thing from Lowe’s for half the price. Sarah and Lily out by the Christmas trees were a delight. Sarah took her time showing me each of the types of trees and the flocking options. She also gave me some great advice on a few of my plants I had bought earlier. El upstairs was outstanding helping me pick out a gift for my niece. They understood all the words I did not and gave great input on what type of care each plant needed. Orion helped me in checkout and was just delightful.”

“We called and checked their website and both say that it’s open daily, so we drove from Sacramento to the store in Richmond and realized it’s CLOSED due to their annual vacation. If they had updated their website and/or phone messages, their potential customers don’t need to drive a couple of hours and waste time to try to visit the store then. Apparently their customer services is not up to standards!”

“Another fabulous garden center! Excellent selection of both indoor and outdoor plants. Unique to this location was the pollinator path which educates and encourages outdoor plants that support bees and butterflies. I rent a townhouse but ended up building a fabulous outdoor garden for our pollinating friends. Huge selection with very informative signage. All the plants looked really healthy and prices were far lower than most of the other centers I have visited lately.”

“This place is gorgeous and has SO much selection. I don’t currently have a pond but will definitely go here if I ever do, beautiful fish and water plants. I went in for garden vegetables and was able to get dinosaur kale, butter lettuce and arugula as well as some ornamental kale and flowers. They are a little pricier than most garden places in the area but the selection was worth it. Also have a good amount of house plants.”

“Ventured out here with my mom to see the Christmas displays and real reindeer, and get some fun holiday photos of my old teddy bear. We were not disappointed! Beautiful trees and poinsettias, a wide variety of plants for sale even at this time of year, the scent of cinnamon in the air, and more. I know we didn't get to see everything, but we had a great time! Their sign at the intersection of 120th and Maple is actually a little difficult to see (it's faded, and if you're headed west on Maple it's really not that visible) but once we spotted the entrance we found our way in just fine. Plenty of parking available. The public restroom is small, but it's okay. We look forward to returning soon to see what we may have missed, and to going back in the spring when we are ready for some beautiful flowers again!”

I would make sure that you require them to give you the manuals and any paperwork that are supposed to come with it. Purchased a snowblower and it came with no paperwork!”

“Sad to say but I won’t be returning here and I will recommend others not to buy from here. In the past I’ve had good experiences with this nursery and the product has been beautiful. But I bought snap dragons and petunias from here two and a half weeks ago and I noticed the snap dragons have not done well and now the petunias are suffering too. Half the plants I put at my mothers house and the snap dragons are suffering the same problem and look terrible! I called and told the person who answered about the fact my newly planted flowers are struggling due to holes in them and pulling off caterpillars off multiple plants. The older lady employee there who answered said I need to go buy a product to kill them. I asked if she offered any reimbursement or providing the worm killer as a courtesy since I just bought them. She said no, and said I could bring them back and they would refund half the value. Other than that she said that’s too bad. This is all quite sad due to the higher prices you pay for better Nursery product but to only find the better product is completely infested and you’ll have to pay more on top or get half your value back. Seems like they don’t care enough because all these plants should have been sprayed to begin with. At least Home Depot and Lowe’s will give a full refund. I’m Very disappointed and would not recommend sadly!”

“To call Boxwood Farms a nursery is to undersell this business. To call it a contemporary high end garden store would be a better description. Very tasteful pots, outdoor decorations as well as a good selection of exotic and outdoor plants would be more accurate. We did not try the restaurant which looks like it could be good.”
