“Food was very tasty, even the bread was good. Service was friendly and helpful - they noted that the magret included goats cheese, and were happy to have it removed from the dish, which I was very grateful for. Great value”

“Terrific food and very friendly staff. The kitchen staff were very professional in cooking around a glutenfree diet, the dishes look and taste amazing. Super friendly waiting staff that spoke English and was knowledgeable about the food and wine. This experience against pricing is unbeatable, we’d go back to Lille just for L’Annexe.”

16 bis Rue Latour, 33000 Bordeaux, France

“Tucked away this hidden gem of a restaurant served up a perfect dinner to this solo traveller. It's not a huge menu, but it's still a difficult choice, so be guided by the very helpful staff. My chicken parmentier was packed full of flavour, probably my favourite meal of the trip.”

Dagobert

31 Rue du Grand Marché, 37000 Tours, France

“This was literally 5 steps from where we were staying, so we had seen how popular it had been the previous night. Booking is essential even on a Monday night. We were seated inside, which gave us space but not the street buzz. The staff were very keen to make you feel welcomed, especially Eloise. We took the 35 euro 3 course deal & every course was something interesting & and delicious, & particularly the sea bass & duck breast dishes. We enjoyed a white from Chinon. It was very reasonably priced for the quality.”

Auberge Gazon Du Faing

1 Chaume du Gazon du Faing, 88230 Le Valtin, France

“I love the view, the sounds of the cow, the sunset, the lovely servers. They also serve water for free and fill up bottles. Babies and dogs are welcome.”

Bistro Gourmand
4.6
( 10 reviews ) $$
Closed until 12:00 PM

7 Rte du Pontel, 78760 Jouars-Pontchartrain, France

“As usual, service and food more than achieves a standard that is off the excellence scale. Superb value for money...this restaurant provides a truly amazing gastronomic experience. Superb wine and amazing wine knowledge. 6 stars.”

L'anecdote
4.7
( 8 reviews )

5 Rue Saint-Louis, 76600 Le Havre, France

“Typical resto, with big portion, good prices, the taste is not the best, same for the ingredients. We tried 2 types of meat, and the quality was not the best. The 2 sauces were bad. I told this when i payed. It seems to be a place that really cooks, as our fish tasted fresh. For me its more a 2/3 note, in this price range. The current 4,7 is too exaggerated.”

Judy Market
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

37 Rue d'Assas, 75006 Paris, France

“Innovative food and great atmosphere. The food here is special, unlike that in a traditional cafe. They are mostly vegetarian or vegan options, with a lot of healthy grains. The place was so busy and alive, yet there is a calm feeling to it. There are a lot of people eating alone and enjoying themself. You can also share table with strangers. But is so cozy that you don’t mind at all whether you come here yourself or with someone. Just get comfortable and enjoy the food and have a good time.”

Secret Garden

28-30 Grande Rue, 79500 Melle, France

“We discovered this place a bit by chance during our trip from La Vendée to Périgord. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They have been able to accommodate a table for 4 people despite the fact that we didnt book and it was starting to be busy time. And the food was quite good. I warmly recommend.”

“I absolutely loved this place!! The staff was so kind, the food was great, and I had a trio of hot chocolates that I will be dreaming about for a long time! Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Bought quite a few chocolate sets to bring back as gifts to my family too. Wish I lived closer, I would go here all the time!”

“WOW. EAT HERE! The food is delicious and nutritious. It was such a relief to find a nourishing meal that was friendly to my Celiac disease while on our travels. We ran from the Louvre with our baby to catch them before they closed - I’m SO glad we didn’t miss it! The service was exceptional. The whole team was so sweet, especially to our baby. They were extremely accommodating with our baby and helped us get comfortable after coming out of the rain. They stayed open late and provided a soy milk latte and tart to stay warm while waiting for the rain to pass. This will be our most special dining experience while in Paris! Thank you, thank you!”
