“We went for a Saturday breakfast. It was super packed and great atmosphere. It’s also a great cafe to take your pet (particularly dog) with you. They seem to offer meals for pets (milk or cream I think from what I could see). While the meals were nice, they all seem to be a little on the heavier side. Both portion wise but also calories and ingredient wise. So just be aware of that. For example, my meal looks healthier than it might be: lots of hollandaise sauce, deep fried ingredients etc. Coffee is good.”

“The burgers are not worth the money. Have been here a few times and I have been disappointed with the quality of the burgers. Given that they only have a small selection of burgers to offer, you would think that they would be decent and everything would be fresh. Even though the burger bun is toasted it still tasted old and stale. The meat on the burger was dry and a tad too salty. The salad in the burger was okay but it isn’t hard to cut up lettuce and tomato… The drink selection is lacking aswell. The service isnt there as everything is ordered from the QR codes on the table so it’s hard to interact with staff. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as they are better places around Brisbane that can actually make a good burger.”

“La Calabrese is an excellent, authentic, and downright fun Italian cuisine experience. The team feels like family (I think some are) and speak Italian while deftly delivering pizzas, drinks, and all other spread of Italian fare. We came in on a late reservation on Christmas eve and had a great time. Between the lively conversation, singing, and delicious pizza, we would very much so recommend to anyone visiting gold coast and surfers paradise area.”

“Absolutely blown away at the flavor coming from this beef. At first I was a little put off at the pricing but it turned out to be well worth it. The staff did mess up our drink order and double-charged us $25 for a cocktail but otherwise it was a night to remember! Definitely coming back”

“Got take away pizza and garlic bread, the pizza was really delicious and fast but the garlic bread was not worth $10. Like we got takeaway so not their fault it was cold, but like 3 slices of not very garlicky bread ? Not worth it so next time I would skip the garlic bread. Really great service tho and accurate to the wait time they told us”

“Went here for dinner and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The view of the dining area was incredible with the sunset over the sea which truly made the atmosphere better! Only one thing that I wasn't too happy with was that when I was ordering on the scan code, I decided to have the calamari which showed a great portion on the photo of the dish but when it arrived it was only roughly half the amount on a small plate. However, the calamari was very good and fresh. The chefs were also very smiley.”

“No table service from new owners. Understandable with employee shortage, but waitress had to be told 3 times our drink order initially, then made a mistake next time we ordered. We had burgers and friends had steak sandwiches. Quite nice, but expensive at $25 each. Lovely location and a nice breeze on a hot day.”
