“Really nice facility with great prices, however my only complaint would be that when it's cold out and all the doors are shut, they allow smoking in the enclosed heated area. They really promote this being a family friendly atmosphere and great outlet for mental health. I don't know how anyone else feels but trying to hit 100 balls while inhaling a bunch of 2nd hand smoke isn't really ideal in 2023. The majority of people shouldn't have to suffer because other people can't break their nasty habits.”

“First I will start out with I visited this place for breakfast bingo and I was one of the first to come into the servers section. I ordered coffee while waiting for some friends. More people came in and sat in the same server section. They all (about 3 tables) got their bloody Mary’s before my 20 min later coffee came. The sever was pleasant and nice at the beginning. When the rest of my party came we waited for her to come back to our table, she didn’t, she was at the bar chit chatting with a customer, I went and asked her if we can order, she said oh yes sorry. I went back to the table and we waited for her till she finished her conversation at the bar. After she took our order we waited about an hour for the food which was fine because they were packed. After our food arrived she never came back to the table for refills unless we flagged her down. It seems since we didn’t order alcohol we weren’t worth her time. After bingo we went to pay, my bill was wrong as I ordered all sides which was three side eggs scrambled and a side of toast, coffee, and a side of salsa, she charge me for two egg meal and just eliminated the meat and the potatoes which the meal is 9 dollars with coffee mine should’ve been 7 dollars, on the first bill she did not charge me for the salsa which there is no charge on the menu nor did she say there was a charge when I asked for it. When I told her my bill was wrong her attitude changed as if this is an inconvenience for her and she stated rudely she can change it I said thanks. She changed it out in front of me and walked away. This time she charged me for two eggs and the toast and coffee like normal BUT this time she charged me 1.50 for a small side of salsa. Ridiculous, I’m sorry I even tipped her. I will give this place another chance but will not be sitting at her section. Her service was horrible and embarrassing.”

“As other recent posters commented. The marketing company Lawsonia uses to promote their Links Course is a master at manipulation. Keep in mind we drove 6 hours because we thought we would be playing something special. The course we played was not a top 100 course nor worth $125 greens fees. Goat paths… I mean cart paths, many bare spots on the course, pace of play during the week was terrible, 4:05 mins for 15 holes. Zero marshal presence to move the pace of play along. To their credit the greens were good and the cart girl was regular which did not benefit us non drinkers. I have played courses in North Central Minnesota that blow this place away and are $85.00 during the week with GPS. Sorry Lawsonia, This is a $60.00 course at best.”

“Loved the golf course and the practice facilities. Course is challenging, but not too difficult with lots of open areas around each hole. Little to no wooded areas to lose a ball in, but plenty of fescue to eat up an errant shot. Didn't partake in anything in the clubhouse, so this review is just for golf. Paid $40 for a weekday prior to 10am + $10 for a bag of range balls. Recommend”

“Went to a Christmas party at the banquet hall. Food was good, but my best experience was when I was looking for a quiet place away from the crowd. I went with my group to the downstairs bar that was currently not being used. We were a little worried that we might be told to leave that area, but the one employee that we saw totally got it. Thanks so much for your hospitality and understanding that not everybody wants to "party hardy."”

Bar opened at 11 but no hot dogs or brats were ready at 1130 when we made the turn??? Didn’t see more than 5 people on the course and clearly wasn’t “booked booked full”. Idk how that course woundnt have hot dog, brats and burger just ready to go all the time.”

“The worst golf course I’ve ever played. The clubhouse looks like a dump. The golf cart was slow, had a steering problem and old cracked tires. One was fairly flat. During my round $35/18 holes during the weekday there were multiple tractors mowing. The fairways were completely covered with aeration plugs and holes. The fairways were rock hard clay under the grass so anyone that hits down on the ball will not do well here. The greens were in decent shape but the fairways were horrible. Lots of disease in the fairway grass with brown spots and lots of bare dirt in the rough area. The rough had recently been mowed and apparently it hadn’t been mowed in a long time because the rough was littered with huge clumps of grass. The course is poorly maintained. Many of the greens are not visible from the tees. The greens are very small. Many of the par 4s and 5s are severe dog legs which cause you to tee off with a middle iron. Never again. Waste of $35 and wasted a beautiful fall day golfing this dump.”

“From the west side of Madison, I can get to LWCC quicker than I can get to Sun Prairie with far fewer traffic hassles. We played 18 during the day, during the week, and the weather was spectacular. Plenty of golfers of all ages were out enjoying the narrow fairways, large mature trees, and lightning fast greens. A beverage cart on the course would have been nice, but we loaded up before the round and finished quickly. Great place to play! Would play here again any time.”
