“So far the most exciting mini golf course I've been to. The territory is nice and well kept, lots of trees and breeze from the water. I liked the Indiana Jones theme a lot, very fun. In the afternoon quite busy, we had to wait for our turn to start for about 15 min, which is not bad as there are enough benches to sit on. Also, affordable too.”

“The golf course is open all year round. I like that they have covers on the carts to keep warm. The rates were reasonable. As far as the pace of play, it was good for the most part until the last few holes. There was a group of 5 that slowed us down. I wish they would prevent this in the future. Otherwise, the golf course was in decent shape at this time of year.”

“It is one of the more difficult courses I played on but its was in fantastic shape. unfortunately we did not get to finish around because of the storms that came in during our rounf. We will definitely play this course again. Highly recommended this course.”

“The marina is a lovely spot. There are small rental cabins, bathrooms with shower stalls, bar with dance floor, covered outdoor eating area, boat slips, plenty of parking and a small food/drink area inside the marina. The bartender I encountered was super sweet and my drink was perfect!”

“Pros: I think the courses are in great shape (maybe not the cart path, but I don't really care about that). The Dome is fantastic. I love it. Its spacious and really enjoyable. The price is about standard these days. Cons: My only complaint is if you have a tee time at say 6am on the books, the place should open prior to that. You're just starting off slow and behind right out the gate. Overall, I really like this place and will continue to visit.”

“We were there mid afternoon on a Sunday so the dining room was pretty empty. Small group of people were at the bar. There is a separate dining area. Pretty much had it all to ourselves. Ordered the fish tacos. They were quite good. Battered and deep fried cod in a flour tortilla with some shreaded cabbage. Tortilla chips with salsa and Pico sauce on the side. Nice views of the golf course.”

“Aldeen Golf Club is easily the best value in IL. $60 with cart for the weekend rate is absolutely fantastic for a course of this quality. They have 5 tees ranging from 7,135 to 5,075. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are kept in immaculate condition. The greens are fast but very consistent. The driving range is real grass which is a huge bonus. Marshalls frequently circle the course so the pace is great. I can't say enough good things about this course.”

“Excellent City/Park District Course. It is a little short, but a good mix starting with a par 5 1st hole then a mix of par 3s and 4s. It keeps it interesting by putting a dramatic dog leg on on hole 3, and gentler ones on the other par 4s. 2nd hole provides a good simple warm up par 3, but from there they start becoming more interesting with guarding bunkers, tiered or undulating greens and other quirks. It is nicely balanced to let you practice full range of golf skills without being to difficult for a beginner or demanding/relying on a strong long game. Extra plus - No water so you are more likely to end the game with the same number of balls you started ;) Focus has been on maintaining the greens and fairways over decorative landscaping, so it is not as photogenic as some other courses, but is very pleasant to stroll through and enjoy in the spring, summer and fall of Chicago. My only "constructive criticism" is the bathrooms - Perhaps they are true public park bathrooms rather than associated with the course, but they were... less than spotless lets just say. Go before you go ;)”

“Course was in poor shape for the price. Played a foursome and finished in 3.5 hours. Had the ranger tell us twice we weren't going fast enough. Apparently you aren't allowed to visualize your shot and let the person who is away hit a shot. I guess you are all supposed to go at the same time. I won't go back. There are better courses out there for the money. Also, their golf carts are garbage.”

“Played Arlington Lakes Golf Club on a Saturday at 7:20am. The pace of play was solid all round, especially for a Chicago-area course. The course itself was in great shape and a lot of fun to play. It’s not long, but a majority of the holes have one or more lakes, so you definitely need to be straight. We will definitely play this track again.”

“This place is fantastic! Great golf course! The staff is amazing! My friend and I played there and the staff went out of there way for us. We purchased drinks and went to get our golf cart. They were waiting for us with our drinks by the first tee! Everyone of the staff spoke to us and were extremely friendly! I highly recommend this golf course!”

“Although it's relatively flat there is a lot of variety throughout the holes. Besides the island green, I'd say this is some of the best water/fairway design I've played. Not punishing, but fun. Great doglegs and there were several blind tees from the gold tips so my Golf Pad GPS map got a lot of use. And its long. Most places I don't get much use of the 4 through 7 irons, but here I didn't even use the 8 or 9 iron the whole round. They use all 7000 + yards in a thoughtful way. Conditions aren't perfect but plenty good. The layout I just really loved. Nice facilities too. Range is smallish but uniquely split down the middle with mats on one side and for a few dollars more you can play your bucket off the grass side. Overall great fun, and an especially rare find for longer hitters.”
