“Beautiful forest with small stream and waterfalls running through it. Not crowded typically. Easy to follow, well marked trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. There are paved trails close to the road and dirt trails in the woods. A large staircase takes you down to Bride Veil Falls. Kids are often in the river - beware the rocks are VERY slippery!!! Noise from roads and highway the only negative. Clean and well maintained. Thank you Metro Parks!!!”

“I was excited to play here because two separate people recommended this course to me. Granted the weather has not been great the past couple weeks but the course was in horrible shape. Fairways completely soaked, yellow brown grass, and overall just not great playing conditions. Starter mentioned no less than 6 times about a 90 degree cart rule, okay great, see attached photos of said cart path you’re required to drive on. It’s gotta be 20 years old, never maintained and filled with potholes worse than downtown! Also not to mention we had a tee time at 8:30 this morning (granted not that early but early enough) and didn’t finish playing until nearly 1:45pm. The reason was that they allowed two groups of 4 in front of our three groups of 4 to walk the course. Which if anyone has played here, they would know some of the distances between the holes are likely up to 1/4 of a mile. So, unacceptable that they would allow walking intermixed with cart golf. When we mentioned it to the starter/grounds crew, they said there was nothing they could do to speed up play. Overall it wasn’t a pleasant experience and I’m severely disappointed since I had heard great things about this course. Not to mention the price of a weekday round which was $56 which is outrageous for a course so poorly maintained and managed.”

“Played at Ellsworth Meadows on 8/6/23. Very pleased with the layout and the great shape of the course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape. Too bad the golfers do not do a better job replacing/filling divots and fixing ballmarks, the course would then be in pristine shape. Would also ask maintenance or whomever to make sure the sand bottles on the carts are filled, both on our cart were empty. Clubhouse is accommodating and greens fees and merchandise are very well priced. About $65 on a Sunday late morning for green fee, electric cart and medium bucket of balls. Snack bar had the basics. Signage on the course is excellent. Person driving the snack cart was very friendly and came by at least 4 times during our round. Pace of play was 2+10 on the front nine but 2+30 on the back nine. That seems long to me, visiting from Colorado, where 4 hours is standard. No course marshals were seen. All in all a very nice visit and the pro shop staff were very accommodating. I would definitely come back.”

“In regards to my first post regarding the bad experiences I encountered I Would like to respond to owner. STILL DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING here.BEWARE as they lied about their whole response. Like I said doors were not opened at 10:00 am I had to track someone down to open it! No communication here for the request. As to cleaning the room it was not done in a timely matter as it should have been! We again had to track someone down to clean the disgusting dirty bathroom. No one ever did vacuum the hallway! The party room floor was not mopped till 1/2 hour before our guests were to arrive and it was still wet when guests arrived I have several people who can vouch for that! It doesn't matter if we're allowed to use bar area or not it still was a mess! Not something guess should be seeing! A banquet room should be presentable and it clearly was NOT! The food was NEVER told to come back at 3:00 pm LIES And food was not Warm roast beef was tough and green beans not cooked all the way. Your cook didnt properly cook and prepare the buffet that's the issue! Party started at 1:00pm why would we have them bring food out 2 hours later at 3:00 pm. Now who looks stupid and lies YOU! This has nothing to do with not having a server which you try to keep pushing it on! You guys messed up and will not take full responsibility without lieing. Noone ever said we wanted a servant, someone to yell at or boss around! We wanted a party room booked for a shower properly clean and set up! Which we did not get! Yes we voiced our opinion and I believe we had every right to and had a good enough reason too! Which we also apologized to each person when we voiced our opinions to them that we were not yelling at them but letting them know how we felt about the situation. They said they knew and understood our frustration. Get your facts straight! You obviously don't know how to book and run a function in your party room! Not only I won't be back but I'll be sure to let other people not to use your establishment. So we will see how GRATEFUL YOU ARE NOW”

“Came as a single from out of town. Interesting layout, kind of two different courses. True Donald Ross on the back. Unfortunately no walking rate, so just took the cart. Little quirky as you're in and out of a neighborhood almost every hole so walking wouldn't be ideal wearing down your spikes as you walk across the street. Was well kept, though seems like noone rakes the bunkers or repairs their pitch marks here. Greens were cratered. Definitely could use some attention to cart paths, particularly on the back, and it should be more reasonable to walk it. 56 bucks in November when they're spraying the greens with blue dye seems kinda steep. Good course though.”
