“This was a busy course with lots of golfers and associated activities like product demos and tournaments. The good news is that it’s all handled very well and staff are friendly and efficient. The course was in nice shape with plenty of challenges but clean well maintained fairways and greens. The cart paths could use some work but not that bad that it would bother a reasonable person. The driving range is really well set up with monitors to track your shots and about half was under cover. Overall a really nice public course that I would welcome playing again”

“Played this course on August 12th 2023. This was the first course of my golf trip and it started off great due to this great course. Got there early and ate lunch which was great. The entire building is amazing with great staff. Practice facilities are excellent and range come with complimentary balls. As for the course itself the greens are amazing, fairways are not dry, and there is drinking water all over the course which is crucial in the Arizona heat. the only knock for this course was the bunkers. How we, it looks like they are doing drainage work so I understand. They also offer military discount. If I come back to town I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this course.”

“Went here with my son. Course is fantastic. A Rees Jones design course that looks intimidating off the tee, but really not so terrible. The trouble lies on your approach shot. Lots of deep Bunkers on elevated greens. At least it was for me. This is accursed where to score well, at least for us average players, a second time is needed. Will probably play again if I visit Scottsdale.”

“Really disappointing experience today at Kierland. Usually enjoy this course as it’s close to my house and generally in good shape. Had a 9am tee time and turned a 5 1/2 hour round on a Friday! We were two groups behind two foursomes of “Chad’s” and “Bro’s” in full Bad Birdie attire who thought it would be a good idea to pair up as an eightsome. Called the proshop to inform them and send out the marshal as were stacked four groups on #10. The marshal basically informed us “they weren’t the problem as an eightsome and were keeping pace playing a scramble”. Laughable at best, nice to know an eightsome is acceptable if playing at a 5.5hr pace. These carts give feedback to the proshop on we’re groups are and the shop didn’t do a damn thing. Didn’t see the marshal once after that and we reported the slow play on the 10th hole. It was so bad, two groups behind us dropped out after 15 holes while our fourth person in our group left with a hole to play. Do better Kierland and enforce pace of play!!”

“Red Mountain Ranch is a Pete Dye course that apparently fell into some disrepair some years ago. If so, after some reinvestment and an engaged member community, they have brought it back to to premiere winter conditions. The rolling elephant mounds and deep sand traps are classic PD designs - even a center fairway drive may have a slight slope setting the ball slightly above or below your feet. The various obstacles create a number challenges that will force you to decide to play it safe or clear a pit / sand / elephant mound or water - confidence is critical. The greens were rolling slow in Dec 2023 - but the breaks and slopes make me happy they were. Overall - an outstanding day on a challenging course in good winter shape.”

“Taco Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. rock! Pleasant golf course views and when it's hot the misters are on, but you can sit inside or outside. $6 margaritas, and $3.75 street tacos with all the fixings ( guac salsa, lettuce, onion, cilantro, sour cream, cheese) you can add in after the initial choice of one of these fillings: ground beef, shredded chicken, beef, and my favorite green chili pork taco which had such a delicious sauce I wish I coulda had a bowl of it! You can also get side of beans or Mexican rice for $2.50 each or a bay of homemade tortilla chips and salsa: $5.00. The lobby leading to the dining area is elegant, bathrooms are clean, and the little bar is pleasant. You need to place your taco order at the bar and then show your receipt at the taco station, so don't just go in and sit down unless you want to sit at the bar first and have a drink. They do have a few beers on tap too. Bring some cash so you can tip at the taco bar instead of adding that into your bar tab as there is a separate jar by the tacos and the chef is worth tipping. She will even give you some grilled onions at the grill if you want. I hear they plan on adding homemade tacos in the future so that will be even better. I'm so glad they allow non-country club members for this delicious experience, although I'm disappointed they no longer list Fish Fry Friday on their calendar--hopefully that will return as the fish was deliciously hand battered and the fries and slaw were good too. Customer service-wise the club needs to do better with their website, returning emails, and having people answer their phones. I called all 8 extensions to try to get some answers and the phones just rang and rang....come on folks--we want to give you business and consider membership, but we need some help and that's why you didn't get 5 stars.”

“First let me start with my not so favorites. 1. On our first night we went for a walk to see the start and some people (not guest I’m guessing) came into the site screeching their tires, making noise, screaming and trying to scare us, mind you this was at almost 11pm. 2. There is a lot of construction happening at the moment quiet hours end at 8am and right on the dot you’ll start hearing construction noise. With that being said I will definitely be returning!!! It has been one of my favorite campgrounds by far, excellent location very close to Portland. The playground was very cool! And The bathrooms were a highlight for me, very clean, beautifully designed. We had a great time as a family!”

“I’m not a bad golfer. I’m not great; but not bad. Usually about bogey golf or a little under. This course is tough. Despite the par 70 number and length, it is a course full of bunkers, water, and unforgiving fairways. I lost more balls than I would like to admit. That said, it is a pretty course, especially on the back nine. The front is too near roads and houses for my liking, but the fairways were in good condition and the greens were well kept. Visit at the peril of a couple sleeves of balls and you may enjoy.”

“Golfed Sunland Springs Golf Course today. Golfed the Four Peaks 9 and the Superstitions 9. It was a great time. The course is short but beautiful. Fast greens open Fairways and overall just a wonderful course to golf. I will be back to golf again. The Sunland Springs has three nine-hole courses for a total of 27 holes! Love this executive course”

“Greens are soooo nice here. Fun course with much variety of challenges. A little dated but they have new golf carts and the process of updating and upgrading the club house and common areas. Which is necessary and a plus. Friendly staff especially Tammy and Tiffany that serve food and drinks. Appreciate the improvements and keeping the greens nice 👊🏼”
