It has the dark bricks which make a striking contrast to the traditional red-brick construction of the surrounding buildings. The patricians extended the building several times, adding the magnificent freestone facade, the decorative balcony and the three towers. People call it locally as the“giants”.”

Anyways, the building is gorgeous and I’ve never seen a piece of architecture like it. Berlin has buildings no other countries can compete with.
