“Texas Department of Public Safety of Waxahachie issues licenses for Texas residents, whether it be for first-time drivers, renewals, expired licenses, or you are just transferring your license from out of state. In order to obtain a license, you must make an appointment that is easily accessible by going online to the website and scheduling for one. Once you schedule your appointment, you must bring all the required documents with you to the appointment that can be found on the website. Upon entering, you will be asked to fill out any additional paperwork and take a ticket number, and wait for your number to be called by one of the representatives. My only issue is that they make it very difficult and hard for you to obtain a license. There are so many protocols that you have to follow, and I feel it's a lack of trust in today's world. After trying to obtain a TX license for over 5 years and visiting the DPS 4 times and taking all of the online drivers courses, watching the videos, and taking the drivers test 2 times I finally did it and got it. Do I feel that everything I did with my time and money was worth it since I have been driving accident free and ticketless for the last 25 years Was worth it? No, I don't, and I'm really upset about this process because I live in a state where at least 90% of the people on the road break all the rules and absolutely deserve not to have a license but instead I'm the person who had to go through a grueling process of obtaining a license. I'm thankful my license doesn't expire for the next 10 years, and after that, I can easily renew it online for the next time.”

“Amazing customer service. The lines moved quickly. **No Restroom** that I have a huge problem with. I waited in line while holding it, figured I would discreetly ask where the restrooms were when I walked up. Finished my business and asked... I was told they do not offer restrooms to the public. Now I'm zooming out of this parking lot to try and find a location to use the restroom. Cannot understand how a public building, especially government associated business, is allowed to not offer restrooms... Ruined my whole experience here. I follow the rules, I am patient, kind. I did everything required of me, I think the least they can do is offer a restroom and drinking fountain to the public.”

“The library has reopened to the public since March 15, 2021. And the used books for sale courtesy of the “Friends of the Library” is also open. There is a book drop by the wall for returns, then next to it are shelves for items-on-hold arranged alphabetically by patron’s last name. Right in the middle of the room is a help desk with friendly library staff to help with anything. There are also 2 self-checkout machines nearby that are easy to use. There are several sections and rooms to explore in this huge library, but they are all clearly labeled. The audio/video section is on the second floor. There is a free wifi for use. There are computers for public use as well as private desks for reading/working. I believe there are rooms one can reserve for small or big group meetings. There is ample parking outside and the library location is an easy in-and-out from either FM762 or Golfview Dr. Lastly, the library also accepts book donations.”
