“I was here for dinner with a group of 3. We ordered the saganaki, zucchini croquettes, and fries as our appetizers. For our main course we chose the lamb shoulder, fried calamari, and beetroot salad (ours had just 2 pieces of beetroot and a whole heap of salad leaves). While the appetizers were great, I must admit that I found the pricing of the dishes to be on the higher side. The portion sizes were veryy small ☹️ and I didn't feel that I received good value for my money. In comparison, I've had a more satisfying experience at the Greek taverna restaurant on Port Road. There, a $35 dish provides enough food to last for yet another meal without compromising the quality of food.”

“Can't fault a single thing. Food was incredible, we had 7 dishes and loved the whole lot. Can't wait to tuck into the leftovers tomorrow for lunch. Wine selection was great and bottles reasonably priced. The lemon potatoes were far too citrus'sy for my girlfriend (they were pretty zesty) but nonetheless they paired beautifully with the lamb and eggplant. Highly recommend this place to anyone. The ambiance was a little noisy, so it definitely felt better suited to a younger audience. Also, we went as a date night (2). I think in order to get the full experience, this place would be even better with 4+ people, where you can order far more dishes and share the whole lot. There were too many things we wanted to try but with just 2 of us we were limited in the amount we could order and eat. Highly highly highly recommend - this place sets a new standard for Shoal Bay for sure!”

So annoyed and disappointed with stingy Hunky dory. For anyone checking the reviews before ordering: Don’t order if you want to enjoy some quality food with proper portion size. This is my last time as well.”

“Pleasant Greek restaurant with blue and white decor and quite sparkling in the evening. The seating is variable with booth, various size tables and lounge style seating. Order both food and drinks at the counter. The fish and chips were good and Greek salad very authentic and what one would find served in Greece. My margarita pizza was disappointing- very oily. The staff were all extremely pleasant. Cocktails are half price during happy hour.”

“Always been meaning to try this place when we drive past. Came in today for the first time, and whilst busy, service was still pretty fast. Food was hectic, really tasty and filling. Relaxed atmosphere, great place to sit back and relax for a bit with family or friends. And also service was excellent, mad shoutout to Thomas. “The food was lovely. Couldn’t fault it. The table service was non existent. It all started when we had to call her away from having a good time with the bar staff and she wasn’t happy as they were having a good time and she had to work. Had to call the waitress over as our drinks were on the counter for around 10 minutes. The bar girl even topped the beer up as it had lost its head. We were never asked if we would like another drink. We then had to ask for the desert menu. The spoons came out for desert and were thumped down on the table not even in the correct setting place. Amazing that all this time and we were very polite.”

“The food here is outstanding. Every dish was delicious. So authentic and tasty. Unfortunately, the place was let down with the service. The staff were lovely but we were sitting in the dome and I felt like we were neglected. Maybe it was a case of out of sight out of mind. I would recommend to go there but don’t sit at the dome. I had to ask for a bowl for my mussel shells, a soup to eat the delicious tomato sauce, water top ups. We even had to go up and approach the register to order more food. No one came to check on us at all. Was a shame because it really put a dampener on the whole experience. We actually wanted to go back and try the pizzas the next night but were put off my the lack of service.”
