When the weather permits, you are able to sit outside at a table beneath umbrellas or at a bar stool and served by the bartender via a garage door. I can not say enough about this place.”

“I've been enjoying King David's Mediterranean food since the mid-70's. The original restaurant on Marshall Street. was established by the father of the current owners who worked for their dad as young men. When the father retired, the business was divided, with one son opening a new restaurant in Fayetteville and the other taking over the Marshall Street location, but moving to a smaller upstairs space. Having eaten at both restaurants, it is my opinion that the larger Fayetteville restaurant serves the best food. The chicken pesto pizza is an excellent starter for 2-4 to share. The platform is a 12" piece of crispy pita bread topped with delicious cheese, chicken, black olives, tomatoes, and pesto sauce. For your main course, try the babagnouge ala carte platter which includes salad, pita bread, and a falafel patty, or order the chicken shish kabob over rice which comes with salad, falafel, pita bread, and hummus. Other items on the menu that we love include the beef chawarma sandwich, the Greek salad with chicken, and when it's available, the mushroom soup. For something different, try the apricot nectar as a beverage. I think it pairs well with the food, particularly if you make liberal use of the hot sauce. At the far end of the dining room, there's a door leading to a skylight - lit patio that's pleasant in the summer. For lunch, you place your order at the register as you enter and it's delivered to your table. At dinner, you are seated and the waitstaff takes your order and brings your food. Service is excellent and the environment is relaxed and comfortable.”

“Didn't know what to expect, menu had a diner vibe yet offering a family style dining experience. We felt really conflicted. Ended up ordering the fried cheese to start, saganaki and the grilled octopus. Needed something acidic to finish the dish. We ordered the vegetable platter for two which was huge, definitely grilled beautifully, the veggies. Paired with rice but didn't care for it. The falafel was too dry. We had an option of soup or salad, we each ordered one. The side salad was a good portion but I wish the dressing was more flavorful. The lentil soup was okay. I think if I were to return, I'd stick to the diner type fare. Service was very attentive and the ladies were pleasant. Not sure why I needed a reservation but noticeably there were two dining rooms. I was put into the casual side even with a reservation. Odd.”

“Had a gathering today w approx 30 family and friends, the food from start to finish was beyond SUPERB, they truly deserve Zagat rating. The fried calamari was better than Greece stated by my sister in law who was there in September, antipasto, appetizers, fish, chicken kabob on skewers were tremendous we couldn't get enough we were licking our fingers. I personally would rate them at 10, the owner Jenny is a gem. Will be back to try their grilled Octopus.”

“The first time I went to this place it was great. The manager was in the area. He came talk to us. The food was great. The service was great too. The second time I went not so much. People came in after us and not only did they get their food before I did, they managed to leave before I did. We were ignored pretty much most of the time, unless I reached out for the waitress. It was not that busy. She was also not very informs. I was trying to see if I can get a hummus appetizer, but not the full amount because it’s only for one person and she seemed extremely confused and unaccommodating. At the end when I finally called her over for the check , she’s standing right there while I’m trying to manage my bill. It got very awkward because it only allows for 18% tip minimum. I wanted to leave 15% .to convey a message and unfortunately, she just loomed over my head and it just made the situation very uncomfortable. Maybe it was a one off I might give it another chance. I’m not sure yet, but that second visit was extremely disappointing.”

People they use for deliveries want more tip money and they stay outside the door waiting. They refuse to give the customer their delivery until they get tipped. “March 2023 -- Service was terrible this past Saturday Night. - took 25 minutes to get our drinks - one bottle of wine (4 glasses), a coke, an iced tea and two juices. - took 45 minutes just to order! Every staff person we asked for service kept pushing on the task to another. We had no idea whom our waiter was supposed to be, neither did they! - asked for a cup of hot water five times, each time a different person and each time the task was unfulfilled. - appetizers we ordered: came out ONE PLATE AT A TIME. We were a group of 9. It took one HOUR to fill the 4 appetizers I ordered (zucchini chips, fried saganaki cheese, skordalia spread, and grilled octopus. - when one appetizer showed up, figured the next would shortly. Nope, we waited another 15 minutes. Then after about another 15 minutes passed, we told the server that our two other appetizers never appeared. I was beyond annoyed. - also when the appetizers appeared, we had no plates and some of us, no silverware!! (Previously someone cleared our appetizer plates and utensils, even though we were still not done receiving. I told the waiter that our two appetizers were missing. - when the missing appetizers showed up, the waitress brought us 4 plates -- we were a group of 9! Like what the heck??? - so finally, after TWO HOURS into dinner service, our main entrees arrived. We sat down at 7:10pm. Dinner was served at 9:10pm!! They charged 20% gratuity because of my group size. Normally if service was better, I'd tip more. But they barely earned this one and it was a $500 dinner to boot! Most of the dishes were still great but the service really ruined our experience. Menu note: seems either the menu has been condensed or it is different on the weekends. Lots of familiar dishes are now gone. No moussaka, no meatballs (beef), no fagri (red snapper type fish), no black sea bass, no more dover sole... Sad!! ***** Previous ***** Summer 2022 -- This Limani Mezze is the more scaled downl version of Limani on Northern. I like this location as it's easier to park and less pretentious. The bar has plenty of seating and Friday's are ladies night with a live DJ at 8:30pm. Gets loud so if you want a quieter dinner, go earlier. Other nights are dining as usual. Menu here boasts plenty of fish options which is the draw and the appetizers are all excellent, great offerings. This is a family friendly spot and the atmosphere is nice - like a Taverna. You can make a meal of appetizers hence the name Mezze.”
