“Been here a couple of times to try different items. All are good so far. Love the thosai here, slightly tangy from the batter with crispness at the edges. The accompanying chutney are good too! Chicken tikka bryani(photo) is served nicely plated, just like in the menu! Garlic naan(photo) is delicious, not overpowering or oily. Roti prata has crispness and chewiness at the same time. Would be even better if the accompanying curry is a bit thicker. Staff are always friendly and polite!”

This small cozy corner packs a dose of warmth and somehow attracted me more. The Ice creams are nicer, flavorful and creamy. Most weekday nights are pack but that’s the vibe that’s cool about it. Young people and families hanging around waiting for their favorite ice cream. Returning to Pooh corner for some honey.”

We actually went to the area to have Bak Kut Teh at Ng Ah Sio, and found this durian store just next door so we decided to have some durian for dessert. We gave the Black Thorn variety a try ($32/kg) and found that it was good. Not wanting to miss out on Musang King, I decided to have it as well ($28/kg). Now eventhough the Black Thorn was said to be the superior one, we found that we liked the Musang King better. It's more flavourful and sweeter. It just left a nicer feel in the mouth. Place is clean, which is important to us. Given that it's just next door to our favorite BKT place, we'll definitely be back again for a durian fix next time we're in Singapore.”

“Food and service were good! Looks like they have revamped the bistro and looking better. Went there for lunch with wifey as we wanted to grab some fresh meat at butchery. Ordered 2 soup to go along with our main. She ordered potato soup and onion soup for me. Before the soup arrived, we were served with their in house baguette and butter. It was so so good especially the butter. Main were served hot from kitchen, portions were good for the price and we left the bistro with our happy stomach. Wish they can offer ribeye in time to come. White chutney was savoury, coconuty and refreshing. Total score: 15/15 Add-ons: Ginger Tea ($3.56) was also smooth, tasty and gingery. The service was also amazing as I added each thosai separately so that I can savour each of them at their best and the restaurant had no issues with me ordering another thosai after I finished one. One of the service staff also made sure I know that there was sugar on the table that I could add to my ginger tea and I really appreciated him going the extra mile. The place is air conditioned and brightly lit and there was Indian music playing in the background feeding into the overall atmosphere. Will definitely recommend my friends if they want to have amazing thosai in Singapore!”
