“Tastefully decorated restaurant with Thai ornaments. The service staff was helpful and took the initiative to offer us the English menu without us requesting. Food wise, we ordered the Thai milk tea, basil leaf pork, spring roll and tom yam soup. The Thai milk tea was too sweet (no tea taste, only milk taste). The basil leaf pork was not what I expected. In Thailand, the pork is minced pork but here they use pork slices. The tom yam soup was diluted, and not sour enough. Price is a little steep compared to other Thai restaurants in Kiel.”

“Susi's kantine is a must if you are on the island. It's close to the railway station in westerland. With parking space ! If I visit the island 2-3 times a year, I am a daily guest there to eat my breakfast or brunch. For sylt, Susi has favourable prices and you can eat breakfast and warm at midday. Afternoon and evening closed. Also closed on Sunday. I like to make clear that this is a place we're many workers eat. It's very solid food. Some vegetarian. You get ready made bread " Brötchen ", warm meals are often German Hauskost. But you can certainly get surprised because the menu is changing every week. The place is a little like a museum, because Susi collects antique of all kinds. The place is clean. You look on the railway. Its children friendly. You can sit outside. Susi is a warm, kind, and beautiful person. Toilets clean, but downstairs. It's not acceptable with wheelchair.”

“My wife and I came about 30 minutes before closing and the place was full. We had to wait a bit but they stayed open late for us and other guests who came about the same time. Most of the people in there seemed to be regulars and knew the owner and staff. No English was spoken but we had several other guests help us when needed. The atmosphere was vey warm and welcoming. We had two focaccia style pizzas that were both delicious and more than we could eat. We paid about $26 US dollars. Highly recommended!”
