“Feels like a gimmick, but the ice cream is actually so good. Would definitely recommend trying out multiple flavours along with one of the matcha ones. They're all very unique and taste super good! Definitely worth a short out of the way visit!”

“A michelin starred restaurant that pioneered the Japanese farm to table movement. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, this despite my being underdressed following a day of sight seeing. I had the tasting menu with 8 savory and 2 dessert courses. Each dish was cleverly presented and flavorful. The signature bread is baked in a hot stone bowl at the tableside with butter the appearance of moss. It was as good as promised. My favorite courses were shrimp with salmon roe and noodles and the melon dessert. The tea pairing was quite nice. Everything was good quality though, at 2 hours, the service felt rushed. My meal came to $360. Ok for a special occassion but 3 times the price of the michelin starred restaurant I visited last week - Kabi - which was just as good.”

“Best noodles in my trip to Japan, taste is amazing, I was around the area for a week, I loved it since the first bite so I went back several times to try the different toppings. They have an English menu explaining how to add the sauces and prepare correctly your noodles. The guy in the bar is really nice and helpful.”

“It's a small shop that only seats about 6 or 7 people at the counter. The staff are also very kind. It was a delicious ramen with ginger.”

“A famous fruit parlor with one of the highest numbers of supporters in Tokyo. Of course it's delicious, but the prices are low for a fruit parlor like this, and most of the parfaits that use seasonal fruits are around 2,000 yen, but they also have parfaits in the 1,000 yen range, which is reasonable and easy to use. The only problem is that there is always a line at all times. As Asakusa is a famous tourist destination, it is popular with tourists, but it is also a truly popular restaurant with many local repeat customers.”

“I don’t know what vege and combinations they put in the ramen, it was soo good. Owner very welcoming to foreigners too, helped me to use the order machine. You do need cash but there’s a Seven Eleven just opposite road. Got their ramen with gyoza, since it was recommended. You can choose the spicy level, broth richness and noodle texture ( I had the hard noodles and it was perfect for me, think normal texture would be just normal noodles then).”

“It is famous for its cheesecake. Since it is a small size, I ended up eating two pieces: cheesecake and cream puff. The baked goods are also delicious and have a refined taste. It's always crowded and there's always a line. Payment is cash only. Please note that credit cards cannot be used. We recommend that you bring as much money as possible.”

“Absolutely fantastic! Cozy shop next to the station with delicious tsukemen; the meat, soup, and noodles are amazing. A must if you’re in the area!”

“Private room Yakiniku. This was def not your lower price Yakiniku but for 10000 yen per person we got a whole room to ourselves. Privacy was great and the quality of beef was top notch. If you are sick of people in Tokyo and want some private quiet time to enjoy dinner at your own pace? This place is the place to go. Loved the beef with egg and rice.”

“I was wondering why this shop had 4.3 on its rating and there was always a queue in front of the shop. So I ventured, left feeling not disappointed but also not overwhelmed. If you like Hakata 🍜 or Chinese style noodles it should be a 4 I guess otherwise mmm maybe 3.8 stars 3.9 at most. …”

“My gourmet friend reserved all 9 seats but fortunately one seat got canceled. She offered me this more than 1 year waiting reservation restaurant. I only have ‘ yes’ answer! I had been their other restaurant. They only offer one course menu which include drinks. Not artistic visual but very interesting food pairing. Stirringly recommend to go with super empty stomach. This super popular small restaurant offer one course only so I am really looking forward what the dishes each time I visit. The course has a lot of purine this time. Can you believe? I have to wait until January 2023 for my next visit! One year from now… I had been few times here and every time I make next reservation though it’s getting more difficult these days My reservation is 2025 this day! Well, I had my next reservation within few weeks surprisingly”

“One of the best sweet shop ever. Both Japanese traditional sweets and Japanese cake is tasty. the price is cheep I feel. My recommend is roll cake. it is very simple but very good taste. I want to buy their sweet again. It is the only problem that there is no other place to make me the reason to go there.”

“Worth the hype. Came for dinner on a weekdays, and only have to queue for about 10 minutes. First the starter tuna sashimi with miso & sesame soy dressing. So good. And then, arrived the mountain of mixed fresh seafood, scraped, chopped, and cubed. So so good. And finally the warm and comforting fish bone stock poured on top of your leftover rice… I really am drooling writing this review. Please, other branches don’t have to queue for so long, and you still get the same quality. This branch seats around 12 person at a time. English menu available. If long queue, ask for takeaway. They are one of the few Japanese Restaurants that provide takeaway.”

“This little Vietnamese shop close to Ikebukuro station serves up some delicious authentic food. Everytime I’m in Japan, my Vietnamese friends bring me here so I know the food is good. They have a variety of soups, noodles, rices dishes and appetizers plus a combo lunch menu. This spot gets quite busy for lunch too. Prices are reasonable and the food is good and light. There is a picture on the front door with Bill and Hilary Clinton…apparently they visited this spot while in Vietman”

“It's been a while since I last visited, but it was still delicious. There is always a line at lunchtime, so get there early. A salty soup that makes you want to eat it in summer”

“I go there with my whole family at the end of every year. Soba gaki, zaru soba, and duck nanban soba are highly recommended. The restaurant's atmosphere, service, and taste are all perfect. There is a large parking lot and tatami rooms, so there is no problem even if you bring children! ! This is the number one soba restaurant in Tokyo!”

“I often buy French cheese and caramel here. It's fluffy when freshly baked, and moist over time, both of which are delicious. For children, we also have classic donuts, churros, and chocolate coronet.”
