“While visiting DC, I wanted to find some authentic Thai food, and Beau Thai delivered! I'm always looking for something similar to the pork neck dishes in Thailand, and their pork belly was pretty darn close. And the Pik King chicken was amazing!! Great food! Great service! Cool little spot!”

“This place is in the tourist destination, The Wharf. So, parking is an overpriced nightmare. And this place isn’t much better. You can only order at kiosks which seemed to take forever due to indecisive customers trying to figure out what they want. Then, one of the kiosks wasn’t working properly, so that was adding to the confusion. We had to wipe our table down because it had not been properly cleaned. When we got our food I was pretty excited because the sandwiches looked great. Unfortunately they weren’t that great. All thee of us felt disappointed that our sandwich wasn’t very flavorful. Same could be said about the waffle fries. They looked good but were bland and flavorless. I will say that the sandwiches and order of fries are big and could probably be split between two people unless they are REALLY hungry. Our bill for three sandwiches, two fries and three waters was $70; $10.50 of which was just for the waters. Not a good deal at all. I do not recommend this place or The Wharf.”

“The restaurant checked all the boxes for me. Not too intimate but nice seating with a more casual feel. (They do have an automatic 20% gratuity) The Food was great the paccheri pasta (hope I spelled that right) had a umami flavor. The ragu melted in your mouth and it all tasted fresh and not dry! The appetizer was my favorite part we got calamari fish and some baked chips. The fish was bone in and tasted fresh with a great crunch. Amazing experience!!”

“My fiancé and I chose La Chaumière to celebrate our engagement, and it was an experience we'll cherish forever. This restaurant is a rare gem that truly captures the essence of French cuisine and culture in the heart of the DC area. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly special. A huge shoutout to our waiter, Rene, who went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. His service was impeccable, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us our space to celebrate. The menu was a delightful surprise, brimming with authentic and traditional French dishes. As lovers of adventurous eating, we were thrilled to find a variety of dishes featuring organ meats – a rarity in the States and a testament to the restaurant's commitment to genuine French culinary traditions. Each dish we tried was more delicious than the last, prepared with skill and presented beautifully. The ambiance of La Chaumière added to the enchantment, whisking us away to a charming French countryside inn. We're already looking forward to our next visit to the DC area, as a trip to La Chaumière will undoubtedly be at the top of our list. For anyone seeking an authentic French dining experience, this is the place to go. Thank you, La Chaumière, for making our engagement celebration so extraordinary! 🍽️💍🇫🇷🥂 *edited for grammar”

“We ordered spicy wantons, dan dan noodles, and cumin lamb. My favorite was cumin lamb. It was well seasoned and not too much cumin. Dan dan noodle was kinda bland to my taste. I liked their chili wantons too but the downside was they stick to each other so that it was hard to take them apart. I also ordered clover club which actually was my favorite thing in this restaurant. It was very smooth and sweet.”

“The concept is good but the execution was lackluster. I stepped in not knowing it was a vegan place so I was very impressed by their fried chickens and cauliflower. I like vegan food and am always curious to know what kind of inventions people will think of. BUT. The carb options was well below average. The noodles had so much spring onion in them - I mean, about 60% of the dish was uncut spring onions. The noodles were all broken and difficult to grip with chopsticks, even forks. The fried rice was way too wet and sweet. Again, they blasted the rice with spring onion Would I come back? Maybe, with heavy modifications to my dishes. Also wasn't a fan that despite us dining in, they were all served in difficult to eat in takeout boxes.”

St. Vincent Wine

( 8 reviews )

3212 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20010, United States

“St. Vincent Wine is a nice and chill spot to enjoy wine, cocktails, and good food. There is a ton of seating outdoors, but also seating in the upstairs bar (inside) as well as on the deck upstairs. I really like how the deck gives a great view of the stage when there are performances. I believe there are performances every Wednesday. The band plays relaxing music. I enjoyed the lobster bucatini and my charcuterie board. I was impressed I got to customize my board to my liking with several options. Usually, I find that is not an option at most places. I can remember the name of the cocktail I got, but it was light and refreshing. The only con of the experience was that if you’re purchasing single glasses of wine or soft drinks, you have to go upstairs to the bar. They bring everything else to your table but not glasses of wine and soft drinks. So I did have to get up and walk upstairs. I think most prefer to sit and relax while dining, and having to walk upstairs to the bar is kind of the opposite of that, but beggars can’t be choosers. The staff was nice and I enjoyed the live music.”

“This was so average. But I was in great company with friends!!! The sliders were honestly just ordinary, no flavors in the sauces stood out. I ate the Korean fried chicken sliders and the chicken was fried but barely.. not breaded much and wasn’t really crispy. The fries were delicious so I suppose that’s a redeeming quality. The ambiance of the restaurant was a bit dreary to be honest. I can’t explain it but it felt a little lifeless. I don’t think I would go back. Also it was on par with other restaurants for pricing.”

“I took my friend here for her birthday. It was our first time. The entire experience was incredible!! We met Elizabeth, the owner, who was very sweet, professional, and busy on the floor, working alongside her staff. The hostess was very sweet. The server was very courteous and knowledgeable about the details of each course, which topped the whole experience. The set menu was paired really well. The kale chips and the cheese board were phenomenal (not part of the fixed menu). The pumpkin soup, the mushroom entree, and the mid-course sorbet (palette cleanser) were my personal favorites. We were very happy and stuffed by the time we were leaving. Thank you, Elizabeth and everyone there, for creating something beautiful for us to experience.”

“First had reservation at 7:30 was not seated until 8 with very empty restaurant. The place was not busy at all. Our server didn’t know any of the details about our meal. We didn’t get the full presentation and didn’t know any of the dishes. Also half way through our meal a group of people sat down next to us with a dog that was not a service animal. I am highly allergic to dogs so the remainder of my dinner I was miserable. My friend was served the wrong dish and was made to feel bad about sending it back because the incorrect dish they gave her had shellfish in it that she is highly allergic too. Once we did receive our food it was great but the service and management was not the expectation I was expecting.”

“Woof, what a blessing it was to have a group dinner here. There were 12 of us present. Most of the group decided to share but we had a few rogue guests that did their own thing, which is fine because they quickly changed their tune as our dishes came out, we had a shared, fun celebratory feast. We started with the chefs whim, it was a perfectly crafted meat and cheese board, complete with fresh fruits flatbreads, marmalades and some mixed nuts. We had cocktails and just about every starter minus the hot chicken and the broccolini. The sweet potatoes were a bit bland but that was ok based on how flavorful everything else was. I recommend the octopus, the ceaser salad, the meatballs, the tuna and the shrimp. For our mains we had the gnocchi, the risotto, the steak and the scallops. No complaint’s here everything was delicious. The risotto and steak were the stars of our entree, I highly recommend everything we ordered. They close early on Wednesday, which or server forgot to mention otherwise we would have ordered dessert. I recommend ordering family style with a large group for this restaurant.”

“Small place and had to wait for 30+ min but amazing food and service. Loved their food suggestions and explanation of how the dish would be. Tried the yellow curry, Donsak chicken and the fried papaya salad with shrimp. Each was unique and tasted yumm!!! Stick rice with mango was good. I would happily visit this place again”

Sura Restaurant

“The food was good but I would say the portions were on the smaller size. The lighting was low and it was a little struggle to read the menu. The place is a little loud but I was ok with that. We ordered Jek Pas dumplings which were flavorful , calamari and Grilled shrimp Kari rice. The grilled shrimp was delicious but most of the dish was white rice.”

“Not gonna lie… I’m pretty disappointed, especially for the price. I’ve heard great things and was excited to try. Very basic. I was very disappointed that the cheese sticks and cheese pizza are the exact same thing with the exception of the sauce on the side or on top of the pizza. Case and point: they just baked a normal size cheese pizza, put sauce on half and cut the “cheese sticks” smaller (see pic). If I was to go again, I would try a different combo than all cheese. Honestly… Red Light is better in DC for Detroit Style pizza locally. Wise Guys and Emmy Squared (chain or not it’s better) for Navy Yard. Does have some outdoor picnic tables for those that want to get there food and eat there.”

“Nice clean place. PARKING ON THE BACK OF BULIDING. Lovely service by Shawna in the front. She took her time to make sure I was happy with my order and suggested some items on the menu. Food looks good. Fresh and clean. No funky smells like other places around here. I was working around and run this place and wanted to try it. Great choice!!! Again the service was super nice.”
