“Probably the best duck I had in New York? Went to this place to celebrate getting a new job. We got the tasting menu and we enjoyed a lot. The duck is probably the best I had in New York. Generally the portion is big but the dishes were paced very well. Service is impeccable too. Would love to come back and try the new menu.”

The Original Soup Kitchen

259A W 55th St, New York, NY 10019, United States

“The place was very close to my hotel, so I bought soup three times. It is always to take away, but you can order there and eat standing up (there is space and the street is never crowded). Sometimes I saw a small queue in the evening. If the soup is finished early, then you can expect that the place will be closed a little earlier than the schedule indicates in Google. The lobster roll is small, but the soups are totally worthy and that's the reason I didn't decrease the stars for that. The list of soups changes every day. They give a piece of bread, mint chocolate and a fruit (apple, pear, banana). Considering the usual prices in NYC, this place has a very good price. I ordered the smallest size of soup, and for me it was enough.”

50 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012, United States

“Yeah this place slaps. Make a reservation cuz there’s just a few tables. Service was great. Never had deep dish in the city and this place is supposed to be the best. I care not to look at the competition. We got a 12 inch pie w pepperoni, jalapeños & onions and we only made it through 1/2. But you should get the 12 in cuz leftovers are awesome. I’m coming back for the Chicago dog & the thin crust. Thanks Emmett’s”

The Doughnut Project

10 Morton St, New York, NY 10014, United States

“No offense to the other donut places, 've tried them all and this place is the best out of the bunch, do not go anywhere else. I've gone TWICE as they were closing at like 1:50pm and both times I got some amazing fresh spectacular donuts like they just made them. Melt in your MOUTH donuts you have to try all the flavors, even flavors you think you might not like, get it and try it and have your mind blown. I want to go back just thinking about them while writing this review. Highlights: Apple, Bacon Maple, Cinnamon Bun, all great.”

Ci Siamo

“I and my husband have been to Ci Siamo several times and it never disappoints! It's our restaurant of choice when we have some visitors from out of town. The food and service are always great. The last time our server was Fiona and she was very friendly, professional and attentive. The other time Damian helped us choosing our dishes and drinks. He was very knowledgeable about them and provided outstanding service. I am posting some pictures of the food from 3 weeks ago when we took our son and his wife there. They loved everything!”

“Small but good Italian spot. Service was excellent most of the food as well. Octopus very tender, there was a smoked type of meat that was amazing can’t remember the name, it was a special. Also the risotto was fantastic. However the salmon was a bit disappointing. Not a lot of flavor, definitely not ordering it again, very bland and whatever. The desserts were great as well! I love that they have coat check, especially now that’s winter we gonna need one for sure”

“My son came exclusively from Atlanta to come eat these sandwiches. He did not get just 1 by 4! One better than the next one, but heads down, Del Boss, was our absolute favorite! Staff were super friendly & helpful. The line was not so bad & moved quickly. It is the right space but makes it fun! The secret menu looked interesting, but that will be for the next time, because without a doubt I'll or we will be back. YUM YUM YUM!”

“Great food! The place is pretty cool, with plenty of space. Their prices are acceptable, specially when considering the amount of food they serve! I tried the shrimp nachos and they were amazing, I'd totally recommend those! The staff was really friendly and the food was served pretty fast.”

Tasty Hand - Pulled Noodles
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:30 PM

1 Doyers St, New York, NY 10013, United States

“Food 8/10 Broth very complex and flavorful!! Huge huge portions and they were very generous with the amount of beef tendons in each bowl. I just wished the noodles were bouncier, so that took down the ratings a bit. We also ordered the dumplings, but those highkey tasted like they could’ve been from the supermarket. Cash only. Atmosphere 6/10 A little cold inside the restaurant, the tables were a little tight. Service 8/10 Speedy speedy service. I appreciated that.”

“Atmosphere & service 10/10. Portions very small very a pretty penny. Expect about $100 plus a person. Pasta dishes are good not excellent. Loved the clam pasta and agnolotti with vodka sauce. Beet appetizer was not my taste at all, probably least favorite thing I’ve had in a while. Was expecting earthy with fresh yogurt as described except was way off. Drinks and bartender were excellent. Decent Italian! 4 people and we all split 4 apps, 5 dinners and no dessert, everyone had 2 cocktails each.”

Claudette

24 5th Ave, New York, NY 10011, United States

“I had been eager to try Claudette for some time, drawn in by its inviting atmosphere and laid-back vibe. Its longstanding presence in NYC suggested a certain level of quality. However, my visit left me with mixed feelings. The atmosphere and service were indeed praiseworthy. Sadly, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. We started with the shrimps, which were the standout dish of the evening, and the octopus, where the ratio of potato to octopus seemed off. As for our main courses, I ordered the bouillabaisse, which turned out to be overly salty, and a notable portion of the clams remained closed. My friend opted for the ragu pasta, which also suffered from an excessive saltiness. To add to the disappointment, our side of Brussels sprouts arrived so deep-fried and greasy that they were nearly inedible. However, to their credit, the restaurant promptly removed the Brussels sprouts from our bill after we voiced our concerns. They even offered us a complimentary serving of vanilla ice cream as a gesture of goodwill. In summary, Claudette offered a welcoming atmosphere and good service, but the food, aside from the shrimp starter, left much to be desired. The issues with saltiness and the quality of some dishes were notable drawbacks during our visit.”

“Amazing service, great ambiance, delicious food. We stumbled across this restaurant walking in NY and decided to stop to have dinner, we did not have a reservation. They were able to accommodate us and were really nice. The pasta is made daily. I definitely recommend coming here, it’s perfect for a date night or an evening out with friends.”

“Ate at the bar and enjoyed chips, quac, a selection of 7 salsas, multiple margaritas, mushroom tacos, fish tacos and the smoked black cod appetizer. Service was great, drinks were on point and food was fresh & tasty! As noted by many other reviewers, it’s very noisy inside. If you want to have a decent conversation expect to yell. But it’s a fun, lively atmosphere and the food this is good.”

111 E 7th St, New York, NY 10009, United States

“My husband and I are vegan and we absolutely loved our dinner here! The food was so good, flavorful, and comforting but it still felt healthy. We got the mushroom and cauliflower bao buns (highly recommend!), the scalloped potatoes (also so good), the truffle Mac n cheese with mushroom bacon (also amazing) and we had the creme brulee for dessert which was lovely. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also so cool and fun. And, the booths and chairs were super comfy. If we lived in NYC, we would eat here all the time!”
