“LOVE THIS PLACE! Very friendly and welcoming owner who helped us first-timers order. We got the mixed meat platter and everything came out exactly as imagined! “I was thinking between 5 and 4 stars but picked 4 at the end because it wasn’t too impressed with a 5 yet. Good: the restaurant is very cozy, nicely decorated and organized. You can really see the difference compared to other fine dining restaurants. Also the staff is very nice. Need improvement: the music from the bar area was too loud, the whole time we were there it’s all DJ style. The tables are too close to each other, which also makes it look too busy with the servers walking back and forth. The food was just at ok level for the price of $70-$90 of a 12-16oz steak. The steak was overall good, but not a wow. It was at the border of too salty. I also ordered crab fried rice and they put too much soy sauce in it. Will I come back? Maybe.”

“I can see the food is okay, it's a nice place to bring the family I suppose. It reminds me of a Chili's. There's just one small caveat. They smoke there meet outside in the parking lot. They wash off spills directly onto the concrete and which goes into the curb side into the watershed drainage. Even the mean shut off the water is saturated by fat. It leaches down the bike lane. Cars run through the meat by-product run off and leave tracks throughout the parking lot including Manor. The smell of it permeates everything. There are roaches and rats at night. I don't know how they get away with this washing off meat into public walkways and streets. Perhaps code compliance doesn't pertain to them The food is good. But I wouldn't want to bring my children or pets around this place at all. It's basically sewage runoff at the street side.”

“My Girlfriend took me here for my birthday this year. It was an incredibly pleasant experience. The food was superb, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were some of the nicest people you’d ever meet. Another highlight was the drinks, they were top notch and they have an old fashioned that is smoked, very good stuff. To top it all off, the staff was kind enough to serve a complimentary slice of chocolate cake with a nice card. I would highly recommend, even if it’s just stopping by for a drink.”

Oh, and their french fries are on point! Lastly, I love the pendant lamps over the bar. “We went to Sway Thai tonight. I had a delicious Thai iced tea which had a hint of chai in it, one of the best I’ve ever had. We started with fried brisket dumplings and steamed chicken and mushroom dumplings with a chili crunch. The brisket was extremely tender and the chicken mushroom dumplings had a nice kick with the chili. My girlfriend had the chicken pad thai which was some of the most flavorful noodles around, but the chili flakes on top may have done her in (next time she’s ordering without those) and I got their signature dish, the “son in-law” which is pork shoulder over rice with a fried runny egg with the fried garlic flakes on top. One of the best dishes I’ve had in Austin so far. For dessert, we tried the condensed milk ice cream, which tasted more tart than sweet, interesting if you’re going for a more complex ice cream flavor. We also tried the sweet potato (purple yam and orange sweet potato) donut holes, which were also one of the most unusual desserts we’ve ever had. Also not sweet enough to fulfill a sweettooth’s desire, but certainly one of the most original desserts I’ve ever had. Definitely would go back and try the fried rice and some of their double fried chicken wings which we saw on pretty much every other table. Service was very good and vibes were immaculate. 9/10 overall”

That's super specific and random, I know, but it had been a rough drive into Austin earlier that day and I needed (wanted) the comforting hug of a brownie. 😆Pitiful... maybe, but accurate. The hotel's restaurant didn't have anything as simple as a brownie and ice cream, so I searched Google maps hoping to find someplace within walking distance. I was so thankful when I found that Tiff's Treats was only a few blocks away. It was the cutest little place. Quite small, but perfect to grab a treat and go. Two ladies walked in separately after me, so as my order was being prepared, I asked them if they had been here before and what they thought about the place. They both had high praise, so I couldn't wait to get back to the room and taste for myself. I was not disappointed. I'm so thankful that they stay open late and were only a short walk down the street and around the corner! “My husband and 4 dogs vacation every year in Austin. The Austin Winery is our go to! This year it was rainy and we appreciated how dog-friendly this place is. Your pups are allowed inside and make it a 5 star stop for us. We value businesses that value dogs as part of the family. Inside the place was very clean. Staff and bartender extremely friendly, relatable, and knowledgeable in wines. We couldn't ask for a better winery. The wines were delicious. We took home two GSM and a bottle of Stack on Stacks. We love this place and highly recommend it to family and friends. Even if you don't have dogs lol we recommend it to you too!”
