The food was flavorful, but the little space felt too packed. Sambal was too spicy. The price is affordable. Excellent location close to Town Hall. I will most definitely return to try more dishes.”

It was our first time, and we opted for their set menu at $75/pp. The Croqueta and Charcoal Grilled Chicken were group favourites, but the standout was the dessert, "Balcon Mess," which we all loved. However, we found the portion a bit too small to share comfortably among four people, especially for a set menu where we anticipated individual servings for the dessert. Although we didn't catch the name of our main server, he was outstanding – friendly, adept at his job, and easy to talk to with a welcoming attitude. The romantic atmosphere, accentuated by fairy lights, added to the night's charm. Our seating in The Boardroom dining area provided a cozy setting.”

Taste-wise, both the lemon pie and the pistachio & cream flavours were pretty good. But the amount of filling was disappointing, just a scant teaspoonful for both donuts despite the misleading "filling overflow" on the tops. Ended up eating mostly plain donuts for 6.50, very underwhelming and poor value. Apparently this store just sells the filled bombo donuts while the Marrickville flagship has the cake donuts as well.”

I ordered the popular braised mince pork with rice and the cuttlefish soup set for a total of $18, which was a really good deal. I had high expectations for the braised mince pork rice as I heard a lot of people like it - it was tasty, though it’s very similar to the caramelised braised pork my mum usually cooks, but hers has a lot more meat! This only had tiny pieces of pork in it, and there weren’t even a lot of them. The cuttlefish soup was nice and hearty. Overall for 18 I can’t complain.”
