“Well…well! WELL! 🔥It took almost three years but I finally discovered a Mexican restaurant in the Bay Area that caters to my discerning Tex Mex taste! Yeah! Portumex Mexican Restaurant in Richmond finally won my 🩷! I ordered a canasta con carne asada! Basically a delish taco shell with steak stuffed with delicious beans, rice, onions and cilantro. The red and green salsas were tasty and I also liked the crema! I had a friend pick up the food but I’m exciting about taking my people to try other dishes! I give this place my thumbs 👍🏽 up! Lmk if you have Bay Area Mexican food favorites I need to try.”

“Lots of indoor and outdoor dining. They are dog friendly, which was a huge plus! The food is average for the price. Tried the pot pie, I was so disappointed it was inedible with a bad flavor. It was the only time I've ever had food sent back to the kitchen. Gave this spot a try again recently, and I absolutely loved the turkey club with sweet potato fries! My mom really enjoyed the steak and mashed potatoes, plus the veggies are delicious. The servers are all attentive and friendly. Was very happy with the service and nice atmosphere! Would recommend dining here at least once while in town. I Just don't recommend the pot pie.”

“Avoid buying steak from this shop. The New York steak sold at this shop is very questionable. It almost feels like a fraudulent sale. We went in to this FoodMaxx to buy steak on the way to a friend's house. For the first two pieces of the steak, we thought we just had a badly processed steak where it was damaged by over-frozen or something; because the texture is way off and blood is not right ( almost like a diluted and water down version of blood) . It was so bad, we couldn't eat it as a steak. So, for the remaining two pieces, we cut it up and try to cook it differently. That is when we realized this alleged and marketed New York steak, is actually a restructure steak than anything else. See the photo for details. Pay close attention to the orientation of those textural patterns. Natural and genuine New York steak meat won't have such textural differences like this on the single piece of New York steak. Even the lowest grade of New York steak will never have such texture on a single piece of steak. Don't buy steak from FoodMaxx if you are used to real steak.”

“We celebrated our 13th anniversary here. Thank you to the staff for making us feel at home and making our night memorable! I highly recommend that you go to their website and make a reservation in advance. They are only open 5p-9p Wednesday through Sunday and closed on Monday and Tuesday and they are busy. We started off with well made and amazing flavored drinks. Honey Do, Long Island, and Margarita Fuego(spicy…I warned you 😀). Then we ordered our hot starters…Roasted Bone Marrow, Roasted Oysters, and Griddled Octopus. Talk about a flavor rush that had you wanting more! For main Entrée we chose 3 dishes to share and take home. Chicken Parmigiana (has a nice little kick), Braised Beef Papparedelle (creamy sauce/gravy with long wide noodles and melt in your mouth beef), and Steak Frites (steak, mild and medium spicy roasted chilies, and Parmesan truffle fries). The staff treated us to a strawberry topped cheesecake to finish off our celebration. The strawberry sauce that normally comes on cheesecake is sweet, however, Attraversiamo’s is more on the tart side and balances out the flavors. It’s not too rich or sweet. Place your reservation! It’s worth the wait to have all these wonderful, local, and fresh flavored dishes in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. I forgot I was in the Streets of Brentwood.”

“If you're craving for some delicious Afghan cuisine, CHOPAN KABOB got you! I haven't had Afghan for a few years now, and I don't remember it tasting this yummy. Of course! I had to try their infamous Bolanis, and it did not disappoint. It reminded me of an exotic Chinese onion pancakes with dips. Must try! The grilled shami kebabs were tasty and yummy. The Tandkori chicken came out smoking Hot and sexy! 🔥And it was so flavorful and tasty!! The Chicken Karahi had a delicious sauce that was so perfect with the rice. Yes! Bahklava is a must, but the Firni was so light and refreshing like panna cotta.”
