“Dosa in Oahu was a much needed respite for us from other options on the island. We visited Ganesh Dosa twice during our trip and the dosas were consistently crisply both times. The sweet dosa was delicious and so was their idli. The sambar and chutneys were yummy and we had them alone after finishing dosas. Our kids loved it too as it was not spicy like traditional sambar. Will visit again.”

“I spent the afternoon walking around Chinatown and knew I wanted to try a dim sum spot. I had just eaten at Marugame (because I wanted to try them out too) but made sure I left room in the stomach for more food. I read some reviews that said the service wasn't good. I thought the ladies that worked there were the sweetest and most attentive I've seen in a while. And the food was great too! I'm from Vegas so the only thing I can use as reference are the many dim sum restaurants in our Chinatown; Mei's can easily go toe-to-toe with any of them. I did just eat at Marugame so couldn't try as many things as I wanted but I did an apples to apples comparison by ordering many of the same items I typically eat at any dim sum: the porridge with pork and century egg, the shrimp dumplings (har gow), tripe, sticky rice in lotus leaf, and pork buns. All were outstanding. I don't recall seeing any prices on the dim sum menu but everything above (2 orders of the shrimp dumplings) came to a little over $40 (no drinks - only the tea and water) so the price is super reasonable too. I'll definitely be stopping by again!”

“We're visiting Honolulu for the first time and staying in Waikiki, which we got bored and annoyed with in the first couple days. I deliberately went looking for Peking duck and / or lobster, and found this place. And oh man, it did not disappoint!!! Possibly one of the best ducks I've ever had. You can order the lobster sauteed, stir fried or deep fried - we went deep fried and it was light and airy and tenderly cooked to perfection. I'm a bit of a Peking duck freak ...I just had a pretty disappointing one last month at a very expensive place in Vegas that claims to specialize in it and charges twice as much... but never in my wildest dreams did I think I could find a place that would do both these things together in one meal to blissful perfection. I'd put the lobster on par with Newport Seafood in LA. We ate some pretty elevated and expensive fusion food for several nights in Waikiki but this was the best meal we had in Hawaii, and knocked it out of the park on the lobster and duck. Really great service, too.”
