“Good Turkish food, excellent service and vibe of the restaurant. Had birthday dinner with my family outdoors on a nice day. We had a few appetizers (manti, meatballs, stuffed zucchini) and I ate the braised short rib and tried some stuffed eggplant as well. The staff also lit a candle on a cake for my birthday celebration which was really nice. Food was on par, price wise, with San Francisco standards, especially in the Richmond area. Felt good eating the food, which was served with a lot of vegetables. Will need to try it for breakfast next time I’m in the area.”

“Did you know there are 2 menus? One in English and the other in Mandarin Chinese. I was lucky to have a friend who can read and speak Mandarin, so we got some food specific to Chinese (less sweet). The food presentation was entertaining and the atmosphere was great as we sat outdoors under a heat lamp. The restaurant was full which means this is a really good place to eat with locals about. And so true- the food was excellent and there were no leftovers between the 3 of us!”

“Visited the iconic Uji Time! My go-to was always their unique tofu ice cream, but it's sadly no longer on the regular menu, replaced by ube. Fortunately, during our visit, tofu was the seasonal flavor! Ube turned out to be surprisingly delightful. Ordering is done outside the store on a tablet. You choose your cone type (Taiyaki or waffle) or a cup, indicating Taiyaki if chosen, soft serve flavor, and two toppings. Pints are also available. Apart from soft serve, they offer mochi ice cream and pudding desserts. After ordering, an employee delivers your order, and you pick it up at the door. Seating is limited, with a few benches around, so it's best to be fortunate on crowded days or while waiting for your order. Compared to other taiyaki places, Uji Time's ice cream tends to be on the frostier side, which I appreciate for its durability. If you're in SF Japantown during the summer, Uji Time is a must for the warm weather. Although it's not summer anymore, a few days ago, we still felt the need for a sweet, cool treat! Located on the East side of the Japanese Peace Plaza shopping area near Daiso on the lower level, Uji Time may have lines, but they are usually quick at getting orders out, minimizing wait times.”

My friend ordered pork noodle soup which also tasted like fish. Plain won ton soup also tasted like fish. Plus it smelled like fish obviously too. The spicy won tons were decent but the insides had an inconsistent texture (some chunks, other smooth and pasty) but was overall decent. I mainly just want ti warn anyone ordering a beef soup, expecting beef soup, to beware that it all tastes like fish.”

“Our go to place. Javier always take care of us. Making sure our chips and salsa always full. The place is a little small but busy. The table salsa is one of the favorites. The red sauce. It is a little spacey for my kids, so they gave them the green sauce. I had beef burritos, my family had Mexican bowl, enchiladas, beef tacos, fish tacos, empanadas chicken. Ronaldo was our server this time. He was very good and making sure food allergies. The portion was pretty good. Reason I did not finish my burritos was because had too much chips. Every time we come here, always get good service.”
