“There isn’t anything I can’t say wasn’t delicious. Literally everything tasted amazing. We had Blaze as our waiter and he’s top notch. We had sambusa, both collard greens and beef. The sauce was amazing with that. We also tried “the world,” and everything on that plate was delicious. I don’t eat a lot of meat, and I couldn’t get enough. My husband usually prefers meat, but he loved all the veggies dishes. The Kings Bread Pudding was very delicious and the coffee just amplified its deliciousness. We will definitely be going back and sure hope we get Blaze again.”

“I’m sorry to do this and I love the food here, but the past couple months the actual restaurant has been *disgusting*. Not only is there visibly dirt, grime, food, and stains all over the floor and every surface, but it smells AWFUL. They seriously need to hire a professional crew to deep clean the place and then they need to maintain it. I am not asking for much, I understand that it is in a gas station, but it does not even meet the minimum standard of cleanliness that you would find at any fast food restaurant.”

“This place was good. It was busy (we didn't expect there to be a Sunday brunch things happening) The service was good and everyone was kind even being super busy, they acted like they enjoyed being there. I got the brunch burger. The flavors were great - not the best burger burger I've ever had but it was tasty and moist. And made a great vehicle for flavor. The fries are great. We also had the brussel sprouts and added a side of hot honey to them and 10/10 RECOMMEND doing this. So crispy. So tasty. We had iced coffees with oatmilk. Fantastic. The coffee was congregation coffee which I think is local.”

“Food: 10/10 Everything was soooo good! We selected a few starters including the meat balls (3 come with it), calamari so crispy and good, and the Italian salad was full of flavor and the dressing was perfect! Highly recommend the woodfire pizzas! They’re big enough to share between 2 people. Steak is a skirt steak, made one way, but still good. Desserts were great- our table ordered the chocolate mousse and the panna cotta! Service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. They are sticklers for seating your party all at once, so be sure and have all guests arrive on time. Restaurant has a fun ambiance and well lite!”

“Overall, the experience was great. My only bad comment is that the beef plates, the beef was really tough...but overall, the family gave 4 stars for the food. The flavor was great. The service was sweet and the restaurant had an African feel about it. It was in the French quarter. Nice Christmas eve dinner.”

“As another reviewer mentioned, this is a good place for veggie options in an area full of not exactly healthy menus. The roots juice was good, portions of beet, carrot, apple, and ginger seemed on point. The southwest bowl however was not very good. Almost entirely quinoa, very little corn or black beans. Dressing was imperceptible, it was like eating plain greens and quinoa for the most part. Will consider another visit and try another item.”

“Amazing evening with my wife at this great restaurant. There are too many good things on the menu to choose. We ended up with the raviolis and the gnocchis and both were delicious. We also had a salad with blueberry goat cheese (also highly recommended). For the service and the atmosphere, we felt like we were part of the family. The staff work with each other like a well oil machine. The highlight of our evening was a special service from chef Sierra, who entertained us all night. We cannot more recommend this restaurant.”

“Huge place that is dog-friendly (both inside and outside) and does offer food. It can be a little difficult to find the place at first, but once you’re there, it’s a good experience! The staff is friendly and they have a good variety of beer, including flights.”

“First time dining in. I had to order and then seat myself. I kinda thought there would be people dining in but it was empty. Probably since COVID a lot of people prefer take out. Anywho, I ordered the wonton soup and boneless chicken with house lomein. The soup was hot, the dumplings seemed to be rewarmed and my wontons weren’t that fresh. The dark meat boneless chicken was battered with panki instead of the traditional battered. The chicken was dry and a bit stringy.”
