“This was my first visit to Maine during a business trip, and since my company is conveniently located near this restaurant, my boss highly recommended their seafood. We chose to have lunch here, arriving slightly past noon on a Friday, and were pleasantly surprised to find a brief wait for a table. To me, this signaled a positive sign. For my meal, I indulged in 6 oysters, shrimp cocktails, bacon-wrapped scallops, and a lobster roll. I must admit that the seafood here surpassed my expectations in terms of taste and quality. I'm thoroughly convinced that this place knows its seafood well, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. What sets this establishment apart is that it's not just a restaurant; it also operates as a seafood market. People can stop by to purchase fresh seafood to enjoy at home. During our meal, I noticed several customers dropping by to buy seafood for later. Additionally, the spacious parking lot adds to the convenience. Our waitress was remarkably attentive and detailed. She took the time to explain any dish modifications and provided alternative options when needed. Her attention to detail was commendable, and it enhanced our dining experience. All in all, I would confidently give this place a 5-star rating. I'll definitely make a return visit whenever I have the opportunity and will wholeheartedly recommend it to my friends.”

“In short - exemplary service. Unforgettable, unique taste. Cozy, warm atmosphere. You can tell they put care into every aspect of this place - which is a rare find these days - folk who care about quality of their craft. Hidden gem and a cannot miss if you are in the Portland area. The grilled corn muffins and butter combo put a smile on my face at the very first taste. The yellow and red sauces are both fantastic. I've tried Dinosaur BBQ in NY state and Franklin BBQ in Austin TX (which are top recommended favorites in those respective areas), and in my opinion, the sauce and ribs here were both more memorable at this place. My favorite is the fried chicken sandwich. Juicy, fall apart tender, and full of flavor even without any sauce. I've tried some of the recommended fried chicken places in Nashville, and (my opinion only) -- the fried chicken here was more memorable and leaves me wanting to come back for more. None of the food felt too greasy/fatty or too heavy, and my experience was consistent over multiple visits in recent years. For that reason, I wanted to spend the time to leave a great review for these folk and what they've crafted at Noble BBQ.”

“We like Shipyard’s pumpkin beer when we had it back in California so decided to go to the brewery to have it there. We were so excited to try it out. Just note that the initial smell can be overwhelming at first but it’s just bc it’s normal brewery smell. The beers were good and we enjoyed the pumpkin beer and the blueberry beer from Sea Dog Brewing the best. But those we’ve had back at home before. None of the new ones we tried were too memorable. Nice decorations of the place though and friendly bartenders.”

“I love this place! Best quality foods, wines, brews and beautiful household gifts. Just got groceries and said to the lovely cashier lady that if they had coffee and seating I'd just chill with a cuppa. She said 'we do', whaaa?!! So, now I am enjoying my coffee and listening to some awesome vintage rock played at just the right volume. I think I wanna work here the vibe is wonderful.”

“Went out on a Saturday night before New Years with a friend. We got last minute reservations and were super excited to try this place after seeing the photos and menu online. The food was great and the cocktails were good, and the atmosphere was amazing. It was decorated for Christmas and was full of happy customers, and it’s the reason this restaurant has four stars. We unfortunately didn’t have a great experience with the service here. It was really busy and I understand having to wait longer to get waited on, and we were having a good time so that alone wouldn’t be a problem. But while we were seated at the bar, we were watching employees check their phones while people were waiting on refills, and the employees seemed to go out of their way not to make eye contact. When we did get the attention of one of the girls behind the bar, she seemed almost annoyed with us and was very short with her interactions. Overall a great dinner out with a friend, but could have been much better with better service. Hopefully it was a fluke and she was just having a bad night, but I would recommend table seating to try to avoid a similar situation”

“Took the kids here tonight after their karate lesson because I figured it would be quicker than going home and making dinner. Boy was I wrong. Myself and two children were seated immediately but without any kids menus. Not a big deal because I knew what wanted. It took ten minutes for My water and two kids drinks. we waited nearly 40 minutes for two lukewarm kids entrees and one appetizer. My daughter's chicken tenders were super dry from either being over cooked or sitting under a heat lamp. My appetizer was good but man that wait was insane! I should've just made dinner at home.”

“The place is clean and looks new. The server is very nice and personable. The beer is decent. When we were there other beers were very hea y feeling and after trying the flight I'm not sure I could fit more beer bc it's filling. Very cute idea for the flights with the muffin tins, makes it stable and the color coding to tel the beers is genius. While the beers weren't exactly my taste to enjoy regularly, they are good beers if you like the heavier darker type German style beers.”

“For the second Wednesday in a row there was NO manned checkouts open and only the self check outs open with one employee watching over it at 10:45 A.M- Last week I called corporate to complain and was told it would be rectified - It is NOT - Like last week I was about to leave my full cart in the isle and leave to go to a nearby Hannaford's as were about a dozen other folks After 15 minutes of contemplating and chatting with other irate folks who were considering leaving a girl did come and open a register but was obviously less than pleased - Shaw's had been a great place to shop until recently and in mu opinion is now a rock bottom - Sadly it is time to shop Hannaford's who has staffing, far superior meat and deli departments - VERY sad!”
