“Amazing place to go if you are with a larger group - it's quite spacious and very cozy. We went there for a dinner and it was a nice experience. They also have quite some options to choose from, and a few vegetarian as well. I had the risotto and tiramisu. The risotto was quite nice, but it seemed a bit too oily and it needed some more salt (even though this can be a taste thing as well). Tiramisu was really good, and I liked the addition of a scoop of ice cream near it!”

“I was told the food there is amazing so I went and was disappointed. The burger was dry, my friend had the Caesar salad and after that she had stomach problems. The spare ribs were almost cold and really greasy not in a good spare ribs way... The service was the poorest I ever received in the Netherlands. We went on a week day in the afternoon so it was not busy. But all the three waitress ignored us almost all the time, even when we asked for the bill. We sat there waiting for half an hour to pay and nobody came after we called them few times. In the end I just went and paid it at the bar. If we had to pay at the bar, nobody told us... It was difficult to order too, we had to wave at them four time and the place was empty so they were busy sitting on a table on their phones. Once they brought our drinks and food none of them ever came again to ask if we want something else. I did wanted to order something else but nobody ever came again, I tried again to wave with a smile at the waitresses but no success. I went twice there and both time was the same and I won't be going for the third time for sure.”

“Would reccomend as a fun outing while being on texel. We had a reduced tour, because they were renovating. But even the reduced tour was worth it ( with a reduced ticket price). A small fun looking hall where a beer meister will tell you the story of the brewery, history and what they do currently behind the scenes. After the tour a little tasting with three beers. He asked if there were people who don't drink alcohol. Those people got 0.0 texels skuumkoppe, which was great because 5 in our group didn't drink alcohol. After the tour and tasting you have time to drink in their pub and buy the beers (and some snacks, quite expensive i add). And their is a cute little shop with alot of merchandising. Really reccomend!”

“Our dining experience was amazing! We went shopping in Alkmaar on admittedly the hottest day of the week (30+ degrees) and when we arrived (Around 6) we could pick a table in the shade which gave some great relief from the heat. The concept was simple to understand as you can order 1 dish you like each round. The food itself was amazing and flavorful! I was pleasantly surprised at the variety and options! From pasta's, to meat, to salads, appetizers, seafood and even some more wild meats like duck and quill! The skewered duck was my personal favorite of the evening. It had a smooth puree underneath which paired really well with the meat! My friend also pointed out how much she adored the wide variety of options for vegetarians! The service was also superb. Normally in restaurants it gets really hard to order extra drinks as the waiters rarely come around. But here they came by quite frequently to check if we were ready to order more or if our order was taken yet. Ofcourse the staff was incredibly friendly as well! The only thing I'd like to note is for people who have sensory sensitivities, specifically people sensitive to others smoking. Smoking was allowed outside, and while I personally wasn't bothered that much as not many people lit up a smoke during our evening, I know some people might have sensory sensitivity. All in all I loved the experience and food, therefore I will be recommending this place to my friends and family!”

“First glance all the bagels looked amazing. They have a menu but you can of course choose your own ingredients. We got a bacon & egg everything bagel and a salmon & cream cheese everything bagel. It was perfect temperature with fresh ingredients, and very quickly prepared. We also tried a cinnamon crunch bagel with oreo cream cheese filling, might sound heavy but i can assure you it wasn’t! They have some special menu items that change from time to time, make sure to check those out. The place is popular, as we would understand why after trying it ourselves, so there are not enough spaces to sit down inside; and there are only some couple of tables outside. So I’d recommend getting the bagels and go somewhere else for a picknick or to your home. Definitely check this place out if you’re in Amsterdam :)”
