“Fantastic dinner! Better than other meals we paid 2 or 3 times higher price for. Simple, fresh, tasty food in a cosy yet lively atmosphere. The food is a fresher lighter modern izakaya menu. No English menu and staff were not able to help with menu translation, but we were able to get by easily enough with Google translate to pick some dishes we like the sound of and they were all top quality. The staff had slightly limited English but we were able to communicate as well as needed. Recommend 1 or 2 smaller dishes per person then the eel rice to finish. The eel rice made into rice porridge at the end is delicious! Staff were super nice and friendly. Can highly recommend, be sure to make a reservation as they were fully booked the night we came.”

“We stumbled this cute shop when we took a stroll and made a visit there. When we walked inside, it smells so good in there. We bought some back for breakfast and so glad that we did. I love their croissant 🥐 They have so many varieties of bakery for you to choose. Tonkatsu sandwich also looks really nice, alas we didn’t try it. Milk, fruit juice and water also available at the fridge so you can just grab and go everything you need in a meal there.”

“At one look, this cafe may look creepy because of the vines on the building. The first floor is a antique shop that sells many things and books which the cafe is on the second floor. The place was really big and enough to fit big groups of 5 - 6. A really nice English tea setting environment that uses vinyls records which give that antique vibe. They scones was delicious! Is different from the original scones that many cafes have. Which tasted really refreshing to me. It was huge, like the size of your palm and it was crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. With cream cheese and jam on the side to pair with it. Will totally come back here as I'm craving for the scones already ^^!”

“I stopped by Nishiki Ichiyo while walking around Nishiki Market. There was a queue only here. There were about 20 people in line, but it moved quickly and I was able to order right away. I received "Taiyaki An Butter (390 yen)". This place was the most delicious. This is a store I definitely wanted to go to when I learned about their taiyaki with a one-minute expiration date on social media. The taiyaki was fluffy and delicious, but the butter was the best. It's very hot so be careful not to get burned lol This is a restaurant you definitely want to try when you go to Nishiki Market! ️Recommended!! ️”
