“This is now my new favourite Greek restaurant in Melbourne. Attended on a Tuesday night, at 7pm and the place was almost full. That explains a lot. Absolutely fantastic service. I actually gave a $20 tip, and l rarely tip. Young girl was happy, smiling, and helpful. The older guy was funny and had great stories. Their involvement really made the night enjoyable. We had the two person banquet, and it was superb. All the courses were delicious and plenty of food, which is what you expect from Greek food. I can't wait for my next visit, and thank you.”

Felt like I walked into a modern, more spacious izakaya- with the bar out front as I walked in and was met with Tortoro greeting customers. Loved it and hoped the food would be reasonably good. Indeed, food surpassed my expectations. The Unagi hotpot was delicious, I had to keep from drooling over it. Smelt and tasted so good. Hubby ordered kaki katsu set menu - with 3 beautifully fried oysters and bowl of rice, miso soup, rolled omelette, mushrooms and pickles. Everything tasted absolutely delicious. Service was courteous and with a smile. Drinks were great. We enjoyed lychee cocktail & Okinawa highball. These are some enhancements and advice for the owner. There are numerous feces in the restaurant garden that should be cleaned up, and the vineyard road that leads to the restaurant should be resurfaced.”

“I was approached by a creepy man out the front of the store, clearly under the influence of something, who was asking me to buy him products. As someone with autism and a female, this was very distressing for me. I approached the security guard, in hopes he would tell the man to remove himself from the entrance of the store, so I can feel safe to leave and instead, he looked at me confused and told me to go speak to one of the store people. I did, and was then met with bad attitude. I’m sorry that I took time away from you while you’re stacking shelves, but it’s truly disgusting that not a single man from this store could help me with my situation. I was left crying and having to call my partner while they were working. What is the point of the security guard? After all of this, I was then stopped while packing my bags by the security guard, to check everything, even though he was right beside me watching me pack my things. Even after I told him the man who served me already checked my bags, he still proceeded to hassle me. Excuse my language, but what the hell is this kind of behaviour? All I did was ask two men to help me with another man but no, not one of them had enough balls and then proceed to hassle me after I pay for my things and try to leave before the creep stops me again. I’m never coming back here. Get some more women working there, because they would’ve understood straight away rather than look at me like I’m a fool. This is so messed up.”

I barely ever eat steak out but this is one of the few instances that I did not regret it. One thing to note is that Australia tends to cook its beef a little too well - their rare is a medium rare to Europeans and Asians. Once you understand that it’s much easier to order steak. I ordered my scotch rare and it was a perfect medium rare! Fries are deep golden and crispy, Brussel sprouts are probably the only way I’ll ever eat them anymore. The food is just brilliant. Please give them a try!”
