“Beautiful grounds with plenty of green space and trees surrounding the heated pools and accommodations. Breakfast is excellent and the staff is very helpful. Rooms are basic but nice and most face the pools. We had difficulty finding a room that functioned properly (first room had a clogged shower drain that turned our shower into a bath, 2nd room had no phone service so we couldnt reach reception, and we settled on the 3rd room with a non-functioning tv since that was not so important). The staff was accommodating throughout the process, and it helped that there were barely any other guests due to the pandemic and our mid-week stay. Heated thermal pools were wonderful day & night for our family. Great for adults & children. Heads up that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by desert and a dirt road. The property itself is beautiful though, and it’s only about 15-20 minutes drive to the heart of San Miguel de Allende.”

“I am in love. I’m sitting at the hotel right now spending my precious vacation time writing this review because of how special this place is! We came to this tiny little town Bernal for a friend’s wedding and would never have discovered this little magical place otherwise. This hotel is clearly a labor of love by the owner Tony, and the grounds are beautiful…thoughtful little details in every corner to enjoy. It’s just a delight exploring each part and it feels like a secret I’ve discovered (as an American, anyway). It’s early December and the lows are in the upper 40s, and while there isn’t any heat in the room, they can provide you with plenty of cozy blankets to keep you warm. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I have nothing to show for my 2 years of high school Spanish, and they do not speak any English here but they use Google translate on their phones to communicate with non-Spanish speakers. Have had no issues with the language barrier. Breakfast is included at the lovely little restaurant from 9 - 11 am. I wanted to sit at the 4-top table that had these two Beauty and the Beast placemats (I am one of those annoying “Disney Adults”…google it) set up and my husband convinced me to sit closer to the view at a 2-top table. Good thing I listened because 30 minutes later a family of 4 walks into the restaurant with 2 little girls for whom the placemats were clearly meant. 😂 I tell the story though to show how attentive the staff is in every detail. The placemats were so sweet and I’m glad I didn’t take that away from that family. Haha. Although now I keep wanting to sing “little town, it’s a quiet village…” everywhere I go here. Everywhere you go you get a great view of la Peña, the monolith that is the big draw of the town. We had an awesome pre-dawn hike up the rock and watched the sunrise this morning. The town of Bernal itself is really tiny and cute…so small that you can walk anywhere within 15 minutes or so. We’re thankful we got to experience this place for a few days and just wanted to share the love! Shoutout to Maricruz! Thank you for such an enjoyable stay!”

“I recently stayed hear with a group, and this hotel is absolutely gross. I would never stay here ever again. The rooms are disgusting, the water pressure is terrible and a shower took me over an hour to wash my hair. Two of our rooms had dead cockroaches, another ended up with a very large live lizard in it(because they don’t seal their windows or doors) and another with large, biting red ants that had to be killed. The floors are also just unbearably disgusting to a point where I never took my shoes off and I was extremely afraid that the rooms have bedbugs. One day while lying out by the pool, I watched the staff quickly remove two beds from a room across from the adult pool, so I am fairly certain this hotel has bedbugs. In addition, one of the travelers in our group couldn’t even get body wash from the staff, and she was told that you could only get body wash if you booked a certain level of room. I’ve never heard of such a thing in my entire life. In addition to that, she booked a room through the group that we traveled with, but upon check in, that room had a cockroach in it so she had to be moved to another room of a lower quality. As such, she certainly should’ve received body wash as it was in the first room. However, the location is great and I think that’s why people stay here, but I did a quick Google search and found many other local hotels without these issues. I would beware of this hotel, and not stay here.”

“Great golf course. This golf course is in great shape from tees to green. The greens have subtle undulation and roll true. Great challenging layout. Picturesque views from every shot. We had a massage at the spa on property and loved the scuba shop. The tamarind margs and included breakfast buffet were amazing! Would definitely stay here again.”

“This Hotel doesn’t look big from the outside but this is just where the fun starts, when you walk in there is a mini-store to your left and to your right is the receptionist in which was very nice and respectful ❤️ We where in the main suit above the entrance with 2 full beds, in which where amazing and nice and soft, not too soft but medium sized type of soft (best beds in Atlixco), the location is amazing being next to el centro or center of atlixo and the main photo sign that says “atlixo” the room service was amazing and the valet was so nice and he’s story of how he ended up in atlixo is sad but nice! The Food/Resturant service was amazing aswell with alot of options of well treated food, we booked 3 night with them snd when we checked out, they gave us a Beautiful flower pot with atlixo finest flowers! THIS PLACE IS SO WELCOMING, overall 10/10 best hotel in altixo will 100% come back!”
