“We went there for dinner, and we had a wonderful evening. The service was on point and very welcoming (we got there without a reservation in the first place, and they offered us a table for an hour later). The restaurant is located in the back yard, and it couldn't be more charming. It was definitely worth the wait, and we had some delicious food there. We ordered Ratatouille and homemade Pasta and it was the best Pasta I had in a long time!”

“I'll be talking about the public beach near this amazing looking hotel. Very quite area. A bit wavy sea that i find beautiful. There is a restaurant near with affordable prices. All in all for me one of the best beaches on Makarska riviera. The only thing is that there is no shadow at all so if you tend to get sunburns avoid it or bring sunbrella 😁”

“The whole atmosphere of the hotel is nice. The lobby itself already shows the excellence of its service. Friendly, atmospheric, luxurious. While, yes, it was roughly 20-30m away from the city center, it still has a great connection with the bus, which is just a small step away from the hotel. The bar is well-stocked, and while I haven't tried the restaurant or breakfast, it still looks amazing and tasty. The staff was amiable, attending to all the needs you might have, even if it caught them off guard, by requesting a lower temperature in the room 😅😅 If I return to Zagreb, I'll stay with them again, for sure.”

“Great place to stay and enjoy local food. The best thing about this place are tasty vegan dishes which you cannot find very often in local restaurants. We had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed variety of food. Great food options for kids as well. The room in the hotel was very good, traditional design yet very modernly equipment. The owner and the staff are super nice and professional. We recommend this place to everyone.”

“I spent one night in hotel lug, unfortunately my experience was not the best. In terms of service the reception was clueless about our booking they rarely spoke English. Besides that they had no option for dinner during our time which I find ridiculous then the staff had to leave at 5 PM but then they came back drunk but couldn’t serve us drinks which is also ridiculous. The rooms were cold and had no hot water in there. Also I found several bugs in my bed. The next morning the breakfast was subpar but we were ready to leave ASAP. For 65€ / night I would expect something better.”

“In general, but especially in terms of value for money, hotel "Gacka" is probably by far the best place between the Plitvice Lakes and the Adriatic coast to accomodate a larger group of tourists at one place. We've had a sleepover there with our group of 20 agriculture students and teachers from the USA, and everything was just right, especially the food! Staff is also very hospitable!”

“Didn't like it there were 13 year old girls screaming Samo levski and bratched in the hallways , people were throwing little bombs in the toilet which caused a smell that should be illegal , there were people throwing shoes at the walls and going inside other people rooms for fun blowing other toilets, I hope the cleaning lady gets a raise”

“It is a decent hotel but we were expecting much more. Good points: location - very easy walk into town. Lovely views from balcony and breakfast room. Clean, comfortable, modern room. Bad points: Half board option is cheap, but describing it as half board is rather misleading. It is more like a canteen in a hospital or school. Food is bad, atmosphere nonexistent. It would be better not to offer a half board option. Breakfast was a slightly better experience, but food still bad, some fruit off. I hardly ate fruit or vegetables all week as there was such a limited amount of it and what there was was not appetising. Not sure if it was because it was end of season, but there were very large tour groups of teenagers staying at the hotel which meant that it was very noisy at night and was a battle to get food in the evening. Would not return.”
