Also, what made it stand out was the service of the kind staff. The location was on a hill with a nice view, and you could walk down to a small private beach from the entrance. It was a year when there was a lot of debris washed ashore due to typhoons, but the only thing that bothered me was that it would have been nice to have a clean sandy beach regardless of the season, but it is one of the hotels I would like to use again.”

“Ryokan in Mie prefecture. Good size room. Great sea view. Big private bath and changing room. Decent spread of food at Breakfast . Having visited 45 prefectures in Japan and stayed in many ryokan and hotels, this is one of the rare occasions where Individually served fish head is available at breakfast buffet. The Individually served halved fish head was fresh and sweet. Great service by staff. I left my scarf in the dinning room. It was a pleasant surprise when hotel staff brought my scarf to my room. The hotel is not new but it is clean. I would have rated 4* if not for the excellent service by the staff.”
