“We come here every year and enjoy it every time. The past two years they've had some hilarious bi-colored goats that look like they have pants on. But really it's the food we come for. Just delicious, traditional regional fare, nothing special, but always well prepared and good. The chestnuts in honey are always a favorite. I wish the servers still wore trachten, though. The motorbikes we came in on were left outside in the carpark, and could be seen out of the room window, which was nice.”

Special mention to the much appreciated homemade bread that they offered, it contained onions, speck (ham) and nuts. I usually don't eat bread in restaurants but this one is a must! I arrived at 12 without reservation and still received the food soon after ordering. If you are in vacation here, you should try this place as restaurant.”

“Very nice and new-ish hotel which is well located as a base to explore the Dolomites, although there is not much to do in town. It’s family friendly with 2 stunning pools and great wellness facilities. Most of the staff is kind, breakfast is stellar and food/diner is ok without being spectacular. Plenty of space in the garage although access is very very steep. They could use an additional lift in the building.”

“My first impression of Maranza Village was that it was so peaceful and sparkling. A week at 'Hotel Sonnenberg' was a very happy time. The whole day was filled with great views, a fantastic pool, and delicious food. Starting with the wonderful table setting that welcomed us, all the food served throughout the week was truly excellent. The cakes served in the afternoon were delicious and varied enough to make us hesitant to go out. All hotel staff always answered my many questions kindly and did their best to resolve them. “The hotel was full, so they’ve offered us a room in a near house. The room was extremely basic, old forniture, lack of lights, terrible shower, no soap and when we asked for we received a super small one and was impossible to get more. Nasty staff and management. we left after the first night and we will never go back again. After reading the reply from the Hotel, it’s necessary to stress: 1. It’s true that we have been told that the room wasn’t in the hotel, but we checked in in the hotel and paid the Waldhof hotel, reason why it’s more than reasonable to think that the Hotel should be responsible for the treatment. 2. After requesting an upgraded room, the management very unpolitely answered that we couldn’t ask for much for a such a small money, and rudely asked why we were not satisfied with a room that had bed and a tv, questionning if we were able to pay for an upgraded room (that was then available at the main hotel). 3. finally, she told as to leave if we weren’t satisfied, and at that point we didn’t stay one second longer. Well, not the best way to deal with a guest, I think…”

Very good rate available on their website. I had one of the few rooms directly facing the creek. Awesome. Wifi broke down a few times in the evenings but mobile data worked.”
