“I stayed here for 6 nights. Small single room. The room is not spacious, but the ceiling is high and there is no feeling of stuffiness. It was a good sized room to stay alone. Bedding is clean. Clean and well maintained every day. The only drawback is that the shower booth is small. I’m not sure if this is a common size. All the staff I met there were very very kind and friendly. You can see the sea from the room. This hotel is heading east, you can see the sunrise every morning in the hotel. The beach is right in front so you can go for a walk at any time. The Imperia promenade was very well organized. Very beautiful. The food in the breakfast room was simple but fresh. I had a really relaxing time here. Highly recommended for those looking for reasonable accommodation.”

“Beautiful little hotel with amazing staff. Very friendly and cooperative from beginning to end. I stayed in one of their apartments, which are actually even nicer that on the pictures. Classical Italian building with high ceilings and big doors and windows. The private spa night is absolutely worth it and the staff really takes care to make your experience as pleasant as possible. “Great hotel for a stay in Genoa. The room was sparkling clean, with high ceilings making it feel more spacious that it is and it smelled good. The pillows are a bit flat but the bed was comfortable. It felt like a higher grade hotel than only 3 stars so I would recommend it as it is a great balance between value and quality. The location is also good as it is in walking distance from everything.”

“The Best Western Hotel Regina Elena boasts a fantastic location with beautiful ocean views, but don't let that distract you from its shortcomings. Contrary to its online persona, our room was nothing like what was advertised. The property certainly has historical charm, but it feels outdated rather than nostalgically appealing. You can see attempts have been made to modernize, but they seem half-hearted—pedestal sinks with no counter space in the bathrooms, linoleum flooring, and awkward room configurations that resemble walk-in closets more than luxury suites. The roof deck swimming pool is a nice touch, but the lack of amenities like umbrellas and convenient towel service are glaring omissions. Be prepared to shell out an extra 50 euros for beach chairs, and don't expect a four-star dining experience by the beach either. In summary, if you're choosing this hotel for its location and ocean views, you won't be disappointed. Just be cautious about your expectations for luxury and service, as this hotel falls short of its 4-star claims.”

“I loved stayed at Palazzo Grillo. The location is ideal. The building's public spaces are exquisite. The breakfast is very good (despite the automated machine-made coffee) and is served on a delightful terrace. The staff is lovely. We stayed in a "Jr Suite Deluxe" with a nice view of the square. The room was not huge (although it is one of the largest the hotel offers) or luxurious, but was very comfortable for two people, with good storage for clothing and a small reading nook. I appreciated the minimalist design, the bare (clean) floors, and the chic, retro Smeg fridge. The bed was very comfortable. My one complaint is the bathroom. It was spacious, with a window — however, frustratingly, it is poorly designed, with a silly modern rimless sink and no rack or shelf to store toiletries. (We ended up having to shove the towels / hairdryer / tissues in the closet to make space in the bathroom.)”

“Where: Hotel Riviera - Arenzano, Italy What: A hotel in front of the sea How was it: After driving and sight seeing for an entire day, we dropped in Arenzano late at night hoping to find a place to sleep. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the hotel is quite nice. The staff helped us park our car in a very narrow spot and checked us in. The place felt ultra modern with the AC cutting when we opened the windows. We couldn't see the sea from our bedroom, but we were minutes away by foot. The city is really special during the day and at night. If you're just passing by or looking for a place to stay in Arenzano - this place is worth it and reasonably priced. Grade: Eli = 4, Serge = 4+ Recommend: Yes, this place is worth giving a try.”

“More than a simple 3 stars hotel! It was an absolut pleasure to stay at this hotel. The staff was always friendly and forthcoming. The receptionist was generally really nice and had some interesting stories to tell. The attendance afirmadable, thought us some Italian and later even prepared our favorite dishes beforehand. The rooms were simple but more than enough. Every room has its own balcony, most with the sea in view. The food was variable, always great and additionally plenty of drinking options to choose from. 4 courses at least, sometimes 5 as it is the Italian way. The city itself is quite charming with a broad promenade, surf or windsurfing sport, long sand beaches all paired with the typical Italian charm. Absolute recommendation.”

“This was perhaps doomed from the start. I found this accommodation on Google Maps and fell in love with the idea of staying in the wilderness overlooking the Ligurian sea. This place is completely *inaccessible* to anyone who is not backpacking which is not clearly communicated on their website. The offer of using the monorail for heavier luggage is smoke and mirrors. When attempting to journey to the accommodation I sought assistance from the owner who was most unhelpful and pitiless to my distress (I was lost on the trail at the time). Don't bother trying to make this your grail...it's not going to happen. I ended up staying in Santa Margherita Ligure and day tripping to San Fruttuoso.”
