“Decent quality stay. (Note: pictures are from after an overnight stay). Paid about $170 with some other fees on top for a single king bedroom. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was stocked with some complimentary soaps and lotions (though the shampoo was out). The room smelled clean, but the doors felt like they didn't dampen sound very well. I could hear doors slam outside my room all the time. Breakfast is served from 6-10 am, and the quality is adequate. It's got a good variety, but the taste was nothing special - waffles, yogurt, juices, coffee, bagels, English muffins, French toast, sausage, eggs, Oatmeal, cereal, candy bars. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but it felt like it could've been better.”

“The hotel was in a safe location. It was a family friendly environment, the breakfast was delicious and the room we had was huge! Traveling with kids is hard enough as is, but we had plenty of space and great food nearby!”

“It's a beautiful building in a very pretty setting that seems secluded but is close to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are huge and well-appointed, with very comfortable beds. Staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is adequate.”

“Definitely have had better service elsewhere. Beds were hard showers were not the cleanest. Neither was the bathroom sink. If you look in the mirror, you can see the underneath of the sink line and how black and moldy it is.🤢 the remote control to the TV was pretty grubby too. Pump bottles in the shower not all of them worked no free breakfast. You got to stand in line and fill out a voucher like your in a public school line for breakfast and have no money. And the complementary coffee was horrible. last time I stayed at a Hilton it was a horrible experience won’t be staying with them again.!!! And last, but least no type of customer service, nobody seemed to be friendly , no smiles , no energy I’m a district manager for a retail company and I understand the importance of customer service and and good energy a smile can go along way in their free!”

“We dropped into this funky boutique hotel on the recommendation of an Instagram friend. We were already booked at another hotel so didn’t check out the rooms but we did get a tour of the common areas. The lobby is really open and welcoming, and upstairs there is a nice common kitchen and really well thought out digital workspace. The interior design elements are really impressive. We spoke to some people who used the common area spaces while staying there and they loved the space. What we did do was sample some food, mocktails and coffee in their restaurant. The offerings - and prices - clearly catered European/North American palates. Two cappuccino were RM18 (CDN $5.20). While inexpensive by European/North American standards the cappuccino were nothing special and not nearly as good as the excellent Malaysian coffee available at the various Kopitiam in KK, where two coffees were routinely available for RM4.40 (CDN $1.25); and honestly we preferred the local brew. Mocktails were very well executed and good value for the money at an average of RM12.5 (CDN $3.60) each. We didn’t have any alcoholic cocktails but other reviewers rate them very highly. We tried two dishes from their interesting food menu: soft shelled crab risotto and curry laksa. The risotto was well executed and delicious, and good value for money at RM26.30 (CDN $7.15). The curry laksa was a bold attempt at a different take on a famous Borneo offering, but it fell a bit short for us. At RM22.80 (CDN $6.55) there are far better options for laksa in KK. Finally, we want to offer a caution re: the tours that are offered at the front desk. The English-speaking staff were very helpful in arranging the two tours we decided to book through them. We booked a tour of Kota Kinabalu National Park and a hot springs, as well as a Proboscis Monkey and Firefly tour. However, both tours were very disappointing, with poor guides, dubious food and poor organization. We recommend that you shop around for options before booking a tour here.”

“Omg! The best experience ever! We stayed in the Grand Suite and it was amazing, perfect perfect perfect. I can’t begin to explain the room and how it feels to experience a Grand Suite. You just have to book that room to understand my emotions. Hotel Elkhart treated us like celebrities!! I will book reservations here, and I highly recommend. Cleanliness, 5 star treatment from the drinks in the bar, our dinner choices, to breakfasts in the morning. If I can give 100 stars I would, it was that lit!!”

“We booked this before I even looked at the reviews. When I got to the hotel I looked at the reviews and probably would not have booked it had I looked ahead of time. But I'm glad I didn't because I actually really liked the hotel. The biggest bummer was the parking though. We had to pay whether you were on the street or the parking garage behind the building. Which I thought was a bit ridiculous. And it was like that surrounding the entire area. I could not find free parking anywhere. They were still having problems with one of the elevators but it didn't bother us as I used the stairs half the time and we never had to wait in line for the elevator as it was a slow weekend as far as traffic. It's in a great location as far as shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, etc. The staff was great and there is free coffee at all times. Lobby was always clean and there were plenty of places to sit, whether you're on your own or with others. I liked the room and it was spacious and clean. You do hear the traffic outside, but the other option is to be on the other side of the building and have a view of the parking garage.”

“Tried to stay here last night. Got checked in, went up to my room, and the entire hotel inexplicably had no water. Not sure if they forgot to pay their bill or what, because the Four Points across the street was fine. I also thought it was interesting that the pool had a sign that said "pool closed for the weekend, sorry" but this was on a Tuesday evening.”

“Reserved a room for a wedding that was local. We had to leave for a family emergency and did not end up staying. Called next day to explain the situation and see about partial refund or credit and no such service was offered or entertained and was told in a better lack of words “tough luck”. Moving forward after the lack of customer support we will not be using Hilton for the foreseeable future.”

“Vicky is the Rudest receptionist I ever encountered. She does not even let you finish a sentence, transfers you to a number, where nobody picks up or where the mailbox is full. I called three times back and tried to explain to her what I needed - the stories she tells you change, too - so you know you are getting lied to probably because they are short staffed. I will never book a room there again for visiting professors - I would be afraid how they are treated there. I have never encountered such lack of professionalism ... BTW usually nobody picks up the phone there anyway ... try it out ... UPDATE: Impossible to pay your bill, too. I had a card on file there. Then they deleted it and sent me a paper bill - I call and the reception desk is unable to process a payment by phone. The manager says he is in until 4pm to get the payment done - so I call at 2:57 PM and am told he left for the day. WHO RUNS THIS PLACE? HOW CAN YOU EVEN DO ANY BUSINESS?”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn Lebanon and would stay here again if we're in the area. The hotel is modern only being opened about 3 years ago according to the hotel staff we spoke with. The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. We check in via the app so we already had our room and everything lined up before we came in. We did get the rewards freebies later after we were settled in which you get at certain levels. The location is good making it easy to jump on and off the interstate with some restaurants around. The room was nice with high ceilings and an open feel to the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean when we arrived. The room also did have a nice seating chair that was very comfortable while passing time between things watching TV. The breakfast was good as well with oatmeal, bagels, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and waffles being offered hot from what I recollect. They did have yogurt, cereal, and toast offerings as well. The breakfast area is spacious as well so you don't feel cramped in a small room. The fitness center has a couple elliptical machines, treadmills, and a bike which makes it easy to get in your cardio workout. The equipment was clean and the room was a good temperature for a workout. I highly recommend this hotel if you are needing a place to stay”

Hampton Inn Shelbyville

“Good location and the front desk staff seem nice. Pretty disappointed in the quality of the room for the price. It's clean enough but smells smokey and like bad food, and has been well used. The couch is ripped, carpet stained, furniture a little beaten up and overall vibe is that this hotel needs a total remodel to remain competitive. Probably a good buy if it was a Super 8 and priced at $65. For $180, pass and try somewhere else. Update after checking out: there were constant groups of people loitering and smoking out the front door and strange people hanging around - even at 6:00 am, the sheets wouldn't stay on the bed, the mattress was a slab, the tub is a death trap with a concave bottom - I've never seen this before and it was difficult to stand in. I was very disappointed with this hotel and feel like the price was robbery. As a Hilton honors member, I've stayed in quite a few Hampton Inns and this one ranks solidly at the bottom. I appreciate that that they responded to my initial review but STRONGLY suggest you find another hotel. If Hilton or the owners are interested in honest feedback, three recent comments in Google seem to capture things well.”
